Truck sold out like a few minutes ago! no everyone hu didnt buy a ticket, make themselves known!
I had a lengthy discussion with a friend in the pub tonight about truck and decided i would buy tickets when I got home.
me too. got so excited last night about it and now nothing. i'm determined to go though, i'll get me a ticket somehow..
due to the fact that the tickets are e-tickets!!
or at least not all of them.
1) they were sold in oxfordshire shops for a month. so thats 1000 tickets that are physical
2) on the site it says tickets will be sent on the 1st of june of july or something
3) wegottickets charged postage.
still think there are tickets hanging around??
truck, i dont get it whats so good about it?
But with the evil hand of manipulative money-grabbing removed, and better music. NEW music. Not all the shit you've been seeing peddled on T4. It's just friendly, and wonderful, like a festival should be.
i'll blag a ticket somehow. scl got me excited about it, and now i've decided that i definitely want to go.
...to find it was sold out, knowing that my brother was gonna get me one this morning.
I was significantly less sickened when I found out he got me one last night!
but the website says that they're still looking for stewards for this year's festival.
you have to work 2 x 4hr shifts across the weekend but you get free entry and i know that some of the shifts are middle of the night-type things and not during the day. i remember seeing joel from akira go off for a shift after biffy last year when he was, um, not very sober. shall we say.
Some local outlets still have tickets. These are for cash sales from personal callers only – i.e. do not ring from Bolton / Brazil and ask shop staff to post you a ticket. This is a bad idea. CASH SALES ONLY
As of 8/3/6 the following still have a very limited stock remaining:
Baby John’s (Didcot), Dawsons (Abingdon), Music Box (New Outlet! Oxford), James Heating Supplies (Wantage), Polar Bear (Oxford), Rapture (Witney), Record Savings (Banbury).
As do the following additional outlets:
Chalky’s (Banbury), Dean Church (Northampton & Kettering 07704947801), Depth Charge (Oxford – 07956 604912), Record House (Aylesbury), Seismic (Lem Spa).
They are limited to six per person and can only be purchased with cash, in person, from these shops. U14s are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
I got one this morning :)
