because if he dies we can trial george bush aswell for crimes of a similair nature against iraqi civilians.

life imprisonment is far worse.

i don't know really, it obviously won't solve anything will it and it does seem slightly scapegoaty from what i know (which admittidley is bugger all).

but on the subject - if someone pleads guilty and the judge decides guilt and asks the the jury to decide only on sentencing then wouldn't it follow that one needs only to plead not guilty in order to be set free

ha. i think C is pretty unlikely. but his culpability is severely limited - i know that this WON'T set a precedent, but it would be quite an unpleasant one if it did, right?
