but still scary...
There was a family of domestic cats that died from the virus in Thailand in 2004.
According to the chap on the news last night (who I trust - he had a clipboard) there is no need to get anxious because one cat has died on an isolated island in the Baltic.
So I'm not worried.
But the flu is now only 200km from my house and I have a cat that bites
And the baltic island is hardly isolated 'cos it's the migrating birds last stop before hitting scandanavia
You're fucked matey. If I were you I'd nip to the shops, buy 2000 fags, 100 crates of beer, some vodka and mixers, and some Dairy Milk, and sit in your room until it all blows over.
Also, kill the cat. It is clearly evil.
is wrong !
Keeping a cat alive is wrong.
But this is another debate for another time. Let us move on...
Does it miaow with a French accent? Ride a bicycle everywhere? Wear blue and white striped jumpers with a garland of onions? Smoke Gauloises?
If all of the above, I think you may be able to make money from this cat, and killing it may be wrong.
it was born in Paris when I used to live there and I raised it from I tiny kitten into the monster it is now
it has an innate militancy that goes even further than my own and a penchant for brie, camembert and indeed many cheeses..
only eat onions and frogs.
about cats or dogs. People can keep them locked.
But what about foxes ? Or rats ?
or rats here - not in my neighbourhood at least
we do have wolves though - but they're pretty scary in their own right
I'm a bird lover by nature and I always put food out for them on my balcony though it invariably gets taken by massive seagulls that my could could only dream of taking down (being about half their size)
Been considering putting the cat out of it's misery for about 5 years now - it is undoubtedy evil!
if rats were to got the flu...
black death for the whole of Paris!
i don't want to die so young...
that if cats get it, it will transmit to humans and become contagious? This is just fucking SARS all over again.
have much more contact with cats than they do with birds
and sure - maybe the whole thing is a scam to sell tamiflu - and of course millions have died from AIDS, cancer, war, road accidents etc
but the 13th century outbreak of the bubonic plague killed approximately one third of the population of europe and the post WWI flu outbreak killed 40million so it's anyone's guess really..
It will not mutate and there will be no pandemic. The chance of your cat getting the bug is very small, the chance of you getting it from your cat is even smaller. This means a vanishingly smal chance of you getting it from your mog/dog/rabbit/Chilean Water Hamster.
But there's a small chance it does...
If I close my eyes and cover my ears it will all go away
If you also shout "lalalalalalaalala" very loudly.
and i don't have bird flu !
is now in cats...is it still bird flu?
Or Bat/Cird flu?
