ken claimed he was off duty when he made his comment, but meh...
i mean livingstone
oversensitive or what?
it's political correctness gone mad. and i'm closer to using that completely non-ironically than I have ever been before. these last few weeks have been so fucked up. please can we have a revolution before i start reading the daily mail?
good one craig
This article of ours says all that needed saying for me: http://ishotthedeputy.com/?q=node/346
(You can comment there if you wish, but you'll need to log in first - spammers, you know how it is.)
i shall have to start reading your site more.
I didn't write that by the way, though Nathaniel Mehr is a nome-de-plume of another DiSser. :-D
just very crass.
But then again, it doesn't surprise me, seeing that being a human being is pretty much a taboo in politics.
I also have to confess, I also find it slightly worrying that an "adjudication panel" has this power. It's like that Bill currently before Parliament that basically hands absolute power to the Government... and nobody has even mentioned it in the news.
i'm very surprised livingstone didn't come out and say that with the Daily Mail group's unbridled support of Mosley and the fascists in the 1930s and the brazen anti-semitism the paper printed back then he was well within his rights to question why a jewish man would work for them.
i find it disgusting that a paper with such a history can actually stay in circulation.
And I quote - "In truth these papers were the leading advocates of anti-Semitism in Britain for half a century... even after the start of World War II still felt free to peddle the lie that Germany's Jews had brought the holocaust upon themselves."
very very well written. on a lesser note, apologising is shit anyway. it doesn't make anything better.
but just don't say it to any horses or you're fucked.
