Surely this is the best line from a film ever?
Post any which you think can beat it.
they spell 'until' right in the film.
are they deaf?
in the script it was probably spelt right, I don't know what Terry Gilliam's english is like.
I do like the line "I'm a mushroom cloud laying motherfucker, motherfucker" from Pulp Fiction.
that is my aspirational mastermind subject, actually - sigh...
"I CAN FIX IT, I CAN FIX IT - my dad's a tv repair man - I've got the tools"
Sean Penn... sigh... talking about a car that has been seriously totalled...
"YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!"
Which film is your's from, though, Tom?
Micheal Palin plays what must be the ultimate bastard. And he seems such a nice man on all his travel/adventure shows as well.
i only saw it recently, but i loved it. apparently there's a version cut for american TV that has a happy ending! :|
it's not cut for U.S. TV, it's the version the studio wanted. Gilliam made it then smuggled the proper version to Cannes or similar and it won loads of awards and forced the studio to release that version.
I've never seen it and I want to. There's a 3-disc set in the U.S. that contains both versions.
What film is it?
I thought this would be about Quantum Leap again
although "How am I fucking funny?" must rate quite highly.
"As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangseter."
I'm here to fucking amuse you, is that it?
I love Goodfellas.
That said, the greatest line in film history is surely:
"I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this any more!"
(Staying away from Python lines for public health reasons)
not the best ever, but I love "GETINTHEBACKOFTHEVAN" from Withnail & I.
from the amazing 2005 epic, volcano! live! from their website.
quite partial to "What's that got to do with my knob?", from Bedknobs and Broomsticks
