I have an issue with !
I can't help it I use them all the time.
I know what they should be used for, I can't help it.
'chk' or any short syllable.
that or "luxury yaught"
especially in texts!!
it seems to make things more friendly!!!
but I always get picked up on it so I'm going to try and not use them anymore.
it's just that makes your posts all appear so horribly horribly chirpy and i'm a miserable bastard so i hate that ;P
but in person it doesn't bother me because obviously when i'm with you i'm not sat at work. when i am sat at work i find the UNENDING chirpyness hard to deal with ;P
it makes it seem like the person is manically telling me something.
describe me perfectly when I'm drunk - manic...
but you're nice manic, not scary manic
I don't really notice exclamation marks any more, I certainly don't think they mean the message is any mor eimportant now then one without them.
Maybe I've been overexposed to them.
I don't mind you using them, it's like a bit of your personality coming over the net in the form of an exclamation mark.
when you don't use ! you sound scarily deadpan and serious.
it's part of your 'online persona'.
but imho any more than three !!! in a row makes a person look derranged.
put accents on letters? (on a computer, obviously)
you can use alt+(number) codes or use the character map..
anybody elses keyboard fucked up? when I want to type the @ sign I have to press shift + 2 and if I press shift + ' instead of @ I get "
How lame is that?
it's because your computer thinks your keyboard is american.
if you go into the keyboard settings in control panel you can change it.
but how do you get the e with the OTHER direction of accent? Or an umlaut on o or u? Eh?
alt + 136 = ê
alt + 137 = ë
alt + 138 = è
you can always tell why you sign in with a false username, cos your sentence construction is identical yet you end everything with a .
we don't use no conjunctions round 'ere!
don't suit you as I know thats not what you sound like when you talk!
