C1 is great
ho is homechoice?
the music videos on demand thing is ACE.
Unless they've changed my package again.
I like how it records Life on Mars for me automatically. :-D
we get tleport tv (on telewest) and we can watch any number of shitty sitcoms any time we want.
And Cracker series 1 and Prime Suspect series 1 and 2 on C1
is they don't have C1 in anamorphic 16:9
Obviously Cracker and early stuff wouldn't be filmed that way regardless, but later stuff is available like that.
is it good?
how much is it?
what are its requirements?
what channels has it?
It doesn't have quite as many channels as Sky but its features easily make up for that. Have a look at their website.
on demand thingy is now very good.
It use to be dump, but can now actually select some pretty good stuff to watch.
then it freezes your tv.
I only use it for browsing and downloading tho odd mp3 though
it's decent but you do have to reboot the box between 1 week and a month.
I remember getting suckered by this company when they first tried this idea a few years ago. They sucked.
You still had to pay for movies which you get on Sky Movies as a matter of course, the TV on demand worked only as long as you had short term amnesia because they never updated the database - trust me, watching season 3 of Friends as much as I wanted got old fast.
As for the "internet" service - let's just say they earned more off the customer service calls than they did off me paying the bills.
What's changed since then? Apart from the management and the investors...
I've actually rarely had any problems with the internet and I've been using them now for 4 or 5 years, maybe longer?
I think their customer service is actually pretty good. Better than most other companies but I'm in the Golders Green area so that may be why.
I can't remember the name but I think ours is in the Hanger Lane area?
When I moved out of mum's in Holloway and took the broadband with me, it was okay but I had to move to a different area.
Anyway, I think they use Indian call centres now so it may not matter but before you were sent directly to the unit who were providing you with broadband so they'd know already about any outages due to a powercut or something.
