The Young Knives are playing. Should I go. Even though I'm broke.
Well. Is anyone else going?
afterskool... much cheaper.
much much better gig.
come to Birmingham!
and I don't know how to dress as 'free love'.
And This Aint Vegas are AWESOME and you'll be sorry you missed them.
they ARE awesome. My 'come to Birmingham' was directed at Bamos really, you have an exciting plan.
I am more exciting at plans than bamos. I can die a happy man...
But i'd liked to !
I like that one a lot though I couldnt nick it from their Myspace - am half tempted bammy
get to spend all day with me. You lucky bastard. Let's party!
It depends how bad I feel tomorrow morning but we could be on.
And I'll come as long as you watch the rugby with me!!
as I'd rather have my tongue licked dry by an old tramp - nothing personal there Hannah, but you knows my thoughts on Oval Ball Soccer
I'd like to see you this weekend but we'll make sure there is no talk of the oval balled sport!
watch the rugby league at Harlequins on Saturday afternoon, so I can't commit to any of this Six Nations malarkey, I'm afraid.
you and sport do not exactly go hand in hand. In the same way that I wouldn't comment on the benefits of the barnd new Apple Flurgle Spurter 3.1 with added MonkeyShazaaam, I would ask you to button it.
is it league or union?
i can never remember.
so union is the normal one and league is for...... pansies?
Little boys' rugby == League
Big boys' rugby == Union
they wear shoulder pads godsake
was formed as a Northern offshoot of Union following a dispute over insurance or something, back in 18 whatever it was. In the same way that rugby itself was formed as a result of picking a football up.
League is faster, more free-flowing, more athletic and more skillful, Union is just a bunch of fat guys in a pile and then someone kicking the ball into the stands.
Rugby Union's the only sport I can actually stand to watch.
League at least has running and excitement.
Union just involves running into each other, it's not really a sport.
are all wife-beating brain donors.
Union is so much more graceful and intelligent
it's not THAT graceful.
but it's exciting to watch.
maybe graceful was a bit extreme, it's like a fat man's ballet with a big pile on at the end
see the gossip tomorrow. ALL of you.
they're playing at one of the atp weekends but before that you can see them at cargo!
i thought the young knives was last week.
Shit. Oh well. I suck.
It's The Sunshine Underground.
I am BAD at this game.
come to Oxford instead.
nations it is then :-D
going so well :(
Sunshine Underground are terrible.
for the Young Knives but i didnt get in. SO annoying. my fake i.d. has worked everytime i've been there and this week the polish looking bouncer suddenly wised up. bastard.
? I need to k now for vanity reasons
on that last sentiment
I have nothing to do.
want to come to Birmingham?
Prole - what?
but thanks soph.
He's coming to the rugby with me on Saturday, whether he likes it or not.
Shall we just have drinks on Saturday evening somewhere then?
I hate you Adie!
Sorry dear. Ignore The Gossip!
or am I gatecrashing?
I refer to your comments on Sunshite Underground Nicey - I concurred with you.
sorry, that did actually make sense. They suck, yes.
to watch rugby then out anywhere later!
Right. Meet in the Olde Coffee House on Beak Street at about 7. Let's have some beer. Or something.
like a plan! Hopefully I will have Truck ticket with me!
I can't go to Cardiff now as Cerys is driving back at 4! And I don't get outta work till 5 and have to go home and pack!
and am i invited to anything or shall i log off?
We're having sweet potato rosti with goats cheese. And having enlightening conversation.
I'm not going to invite everyone personally!
And where do you want to meet?
I can't be bothered to read this thread.. Where will you be at about 10pm?
I think we're watching the young knives play rugby in the old coffee house in soho, or something.
Just call me when you can join us! Where are you going?
is pretty easy to get to Prole!
And I said earlier I wanted to see you this weekend!
and Im feeling soppy for the west country....
Would rather go somewhere that isn't Soho or Camden that's all Bammers, assuming I have a 'say' in where and when!!
need suggestions though homeboy.
that's all Im saying
Rugby, for the sake of diplomacy is totally GEAR ok?
soho is convenient and stuff.
wetherspoons again then? I can have another lovely 'cider'.
head on - maybe the old coffee house is the best bet after all unless we meet at the Reliance in Old Street?
Maybe reliance? Then on to Cargo with accidental??
I'm having dinner at the Strand then sposed to be going to Motion for drinks... so actually soho's better!
sorry something happened to my vowels just then
Old Beak in Coffee Street it is then. Who hasn't got their free Faculty single yet?
I want one!
it is then. Or something. I'll be there WHENEVER.
Is it a new one?
which is an 'EP' is 'coming out' in May - remember where you heard it erm... first!
anything concerning oval-shaped balls of any sort, i recommend:
and i'd like a free single if you're giving them away too :)
so. who's watching the 6 nations? which games and where?
England V Italy
France V Ireland
Wales V Scotland
So will only watch highlights tomorrow and the full game Sunday!
that sounds about right. england/italy will be boring, but ireland/scotland could be a laugh... sarky: as this board's apparent militant irishwoman, are you and any of your compatriots watching your match?
Frog is off the agenda Nige. We'll be in Soho though...don't know if we've got any plans after 11, but I'm sure party animal Prole will drag us somewhere...
Ok 'Nige' see you there with Steptoe - you off to see Maximo Park and Hard Fi first?
