...is it that bad?
Neil Redfearn, he would know
haven't seen your team get relegated into the bottom league, that's pain Delvo!
Apologies for the Plymouth comment - I just meant that they're not a glamourous team! :-)
still, we beat you last Tuesday :-D
Good for you and I hope you stay up but I've just lost interest in Saints now. Will we even get relegated down to League 1 - bovvered.
As a Saints fan, I feel well qualified to comment on this. I've only been to one live game this season whereas I went to 4 or 5 last season. I don't think this is because Saints are in Div 2 now, it's more that tickets still cost 25 quid or so and Saints have been playing atrociously. Walcott, the one ray of hope this year, has gone now and there's been no investment in the team at all.
So to answer your question James, it depends on how the club handle it. If Boro do go down you really should win most of your games so that might compensate a bit. But does it make up for the fact that you'll be playing Plymouth, Colchester (ha ha! my old local team - get in!) instead of Chelsea and the like?
I mean, we have tasted relegation before, obviously... we thought we were too good to go down that year, but clearly not. And the next season Paul Merson inspired us to automatic promotion. But it looks so much tougher down there at the moment, and I fear that if we do go down, then we won't resurface for a while. All the big players will leave and we'll be left wondering where to go. We have money on our side thouugh, that isn't a problem. But, we really shouldn't be here... why are we? Anyone?
some of the best youngsters around.
They should be relied on more, they will play with passion and care about the club.
If you did go down then those overpaid mercenaries should be chucked out of the window. It's all about the kids!
Unless your Graham Rix of course...
Cattermole has been fantastic.
Downing is palying well.
Morrison, Davies, Bates, Parnaby, Taylor, Wheater, Johnson and Jones have all been playing regularly lately... is this really a good thing though. To me it just gives Steve McClaren another excuse.
Knowing how faithful your chairman is I can't see Mclaren going unless you go down, and even then he may hold onto him!
Robson wasn't sacked. He left... because he was booed. I don't really see how the man who got us into this mess, can get us out. I mean if we had poor players, like Sunderland, then it wouldn't be too bad, but we don't. We have International class, big-name players... i really don't understand it. Actually I do... we have no defence. Southgate is past it. So is Ehiogu.
only Yakubu and Queddrue spring to mind as players brought in who are any good right now and not past it.
Schwarzer is a top quality keeper, Boateng is fantastic, Hasselbaink when he wants to be is amazing. Apparently Rochemback is great... but... meh.
Its actually quite funny now, my season ticket is well worht the money for the entertainment factor.
Time to get rid of Mclaren, its blatantly obvious that he doesnt have a clue.
a qpr fan,
i can say, yep. it's shit.
I just saw the scores, bad news Delvey...
you're above us for christ's sake
He was crying because he actually cares about the team seeing as though he is a local young lad, he seriously has got some talent as well, the only plus point today was Cattermole, he could be something special.
