Simpsons/Family Guy/Futurama/South Park, which cartoon is best?
no particular reason, although i do think family guy is a little too derivitive for its own good
the authroity on all these things googlefight says that South Park is the best.
south park #1 for me
then simpsons at a stretch, they're jokes are pretty shit now, and then
family guy, amusing, but too....I don't know.
and all the newer ones are bunk.
Futurama was cut off in it's prime.
South Park is ace, and I also love Family Guy.
I say Simpsons, but only up to a point.
I have watched barely any south park so it would be unfair to judge but i'm pretty sure i'd like it better than family guy at least.
it's not that i dislike the simpsons, just that the newer ones are crap and i've seen the good ones too many times to care anymore. family guy might get boring soon.
was better than anything ever. But it peaked approximately 7 years ago. Futurama is never quite as funny as I want it to be. Same goes for South Park.
Family guy wins by default.
American dad is good.
edges it for moi.
Toughest question of the day by a long shot.
1. The Simpsons
Wins for being the greatest show ever in the history of television. There is no longer any line in my head between Springfield and real life. So funny and yet so humane.
2. Family Guy
The funniest show on this list by quite some distance. Brian and Stewie = two of the all-time great comic characters.
Didn't warm to it instantly, but the chronology gags and (especially) the character-based jokes are really funny. Awesome voices by Billy West. Another one of the comic greats in Bender.
4. South Park
Two jaw-droppingly hilarious seasons. Then mediocrity foever. But still: the Mexican staring frog of Southern Sri-Lanka. Yep.
is still great. The last season was one of the best.
and anyone who doubts it should watch series 7 8 and 9 ... brilliant stuff
South Park is some of the sharpest satire coming out of America at the moment.
Interesting how different everyone's lists are.
All are great though. I watch so small an amount of TV they must account for at least 30-40% of the shows i've watched in the last year...
