I'm getting made redundant next Tuesday. What shall I do about it?
get a new job?
I suggest drinking in either instance
try to TAKE OVER THE WORLD...
and start tarmacing drives
obviously if you're skint head straight down temp agencies - you can always look for other jobs while doing some tedious stuff elsewhere.
also, if you've been planning a move, now is an opportune time.
Start a flea circus
and have a few drinks
Don't go for a drink. You haven't got a job, thus you can't afford it. Yes.
But then I suddenly realised I can't drive and thought if I don't do that while I'm outside of London then I'll never learn... So I'm stuck now.
and come up with a shortlist of records you are capable of breaking (check the 'gluttony' section for the easiest ones.
Draw up a shortlist, then go RECORD BREAKING!
The fame and subsequent wealth you'll garner should tide you over for a while.
Join the domino teams like on channel 5, you might even meet that double barreled car journalist woman. Or learn to stack/unstack cups really quick!
so you can learn to drive is both sad and wrong. We have cars here too.
My little sister is moving to London in March, get a flat with her. She is well nice. But not as nice as me, obv.
Will you get paid a decent amount for their evils?
I think a drink is good followed by a new career.
Cunts. I never say that on here but I feel this time it's necessary.
are you glad to be shot of them whilst ruing the financial position its put you in, or did you like the job as well?
If so, start your own business. You'd be a good personal shopper I reckon.
If not be one of them anyway but with less shiny business cards and flyers and more alcohol consumption beforehand.
Do you need a reference from them or can you be rude whilst leaving?
rework the cv - start looking for jobs - hit companies that didn't know they needed someone - AND PRAY.
what are your marketable skills/experiance
Make The Fog Band bigger than the AM'S!
One of the reasons is mis-use of the internet. Which means posting here.
work experience now? You could maybe do a couple of days a week while temping, or work in a pub and do some in the day?
Creaky - the people I work with arent anything to do with the redundancies so there's no point in rudeness. If anyone wants to see my CV I'll send them a copy!
The job is nothing near what I'm best at/am interested in but it has given me loads of internet time which (unashamedly) I rather enjoy! I would like to do something in the creative world but can't cos of the old work experience barrier! I'd also like to do the fog band professionally but the rest of the band don't. So basically it's all a bit dull.
