I love that film.
so I won't be skipping work early just to watch it.
cry watching that film One to avoid for me.
She paints rabbits.
lazy arse of a human being.
I've nothing better to do.
watching it when I was a kid and feeling really sick with the measles. I've never seen it since.
Was terrified as a child. And moved as well. The bit at the end is very affecting.
it's so beautifully put in that.
It can never be as sad as All Dogs Go To Heaven.
or the "Grandfather" episode of Noah's Island...
it's about cats you see.
is automatically better.
i want a cat :(
imdb.com-ed it and it looks pretty good. I'll add it to my "harrowing animation to see" list. So far there's Graveyard of the Fireflies yet to watch.
i've managed to avoid watching it for so many years. but for some reason i bought the dvd (it was £10 in fopp) so now it's sitting on my floor unwatched.
haven't you watched it yet? I've heard it's brilliant and crushingly sad. I might pay a visit to Fopp then instead of waiting for my friend to get round to lending it to me.
i'm somewhat enjoying life these days, and i just don't want to watch something that will crush my spirit quite so much ;)
i'm sure it is brilliant, but i dunno.. i would have to be in a certain mood to want to sit down and watch it in the first place, and the two probably wouldn't mix.
bear in mind, i've had people going on about this is the most depressing movie ever made / makes everyone who watches it cry etc etc for about ten years now..
It's not as good as Watership Down.
Why do they always put Watership Down on at Christmas? What is it about it that is especially festive?
at Easter Last year.
Don't think it has to be especially festive to be on at Christmas, whats especially festive about the Wizard Of Oz?
is so sad.
When the ghost rabbit is jumping about to Bright Eyes by Arty G.
"Bright eyes, glowing like fire!"
"How can a flame that burns so bright"
"suddenly fade so fast"
Shit, I'm actually upsetting myself.
the word "death" or "died" isn't mentioned - the line is something about how the rabbit didn't need his body any more, and decided to leave it by the stream.
which i always thought was lovely.
I hate Watership down, it terrified me as a kid and it's sooo sad. We had a singalong around the piano for my friends Xmas dinner, Bright Eyes bought the tempo down..
(in a manly non-crying way) was Dead Poet Society?
I've never seen it.
What was the point of me posting?
Did anyone cry in ET?
Am I made of stone because I didn't?
Elliott was objectionable, and ET was ugly as sin. Who cares about an alien who dismantles your Speak and Spell anyway?
