Gilbert & George are turning on the lights at Spitalfields Market tomorrow night, anyone wanna come and be festive?
Broken Social Scene.
I feel the need to get festive it being this close to December!
But I'm not in London.
BAH. I bet they have mulled wine.
Gilbert and George? That's cool! I would come if it wasn't really far away...
so I wont be there - anyway I'll round Edgar's
can you guess what it is?
It should be.
so is Hannah82. Who's with us?
but I hate both of you.
Ahem. I'm busy.
Spitalfields Market? What do they sell there exactly?
gilbert & george?
I hate Christmas. Im being a Scrogge this year. Im not feeling very christmassy.
what's this "tomorrow" nonsense all about?
are artists. They have a room in Tate Modern. They believe their life is art so they put themselves in all their artwork. They wear suits.
I don't know what they sell at Spitalfields Market. Or where it is, really. It looked nice though.
sounds a bit mucus-y
they sound divine. Would be better with George & Mildred though wouldn't it?
In all your faces.
to say it twice bg
sounds quite painful
to go to the Shangri-la Blue Club in High Holborn dressed in nothing but the finest colbalt
On Commercial Street I believe. Just a short walk from Liverpool Street. It's really quite a nice part of town.
packed with mucus.
A good market where you can get cool (but can be pricey) household type stuff they do have records and suchlike too. Don't confuse with fruit and veg market, unless you're a fruit and veg market trader like.
Spitalfields also has a pretty interesting history, which I won't go into because it will bore some. Google it if you're that excited i suppose...
is best on Sundays when it's full of nice clothes and lovely cakes. It's also next to the Spitz, one of my fav music venues.
I'm not coming tonight because I'm going to see the new Woody Allen film.
That looks good. I love Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
My mate saw him in Camden once and said he looked like a tramp though. :(
the world's hottest tramp.
But wasn't he arrested a while ago for assaulting his 18-year-old girlfriend?
oh dear. It's always the pretty ones...
and he looked like such a nice boy as well.
City workers or Hoxton skeletons - what do you think?
for 'Hospital' - so if it was in Liverpool it would be called 'Ossie MArket
convince yourself prole.
I just complimented you on your Arthur Seaton quote on another thread - cheeky
anyway it should have read 'Ossiefields Market' anyway
Aw. It was fully intentional as well!
dont bother with the follow up 'Birthday' written a few years ago - a but gutless
And I was considering getting it. The Guardian wasn't favourable to it though, so maybe I won't bother.
is his best book - the film is fantastically relentless - like a really unforgiving alternative Billy Liar - i've read a few of his books and apart from his book of short stories (incl. THe Lonliness of the LOng Distance Runner) there's not much else which got me going
sorry ive turned into some sort of E-lecturer
then I could have just sat here and read your monologues instead of paying 3 grand a year for 7 hours contact time.
