Why is organisational change so difficult to manage?
a rather simple question for someone who is 21....
it is a multifaceted subject, well at least I hope so because I have an entire unit based solely on the 'Management of Change' next year.
If it's not I suppose it easy marks if nothing else! ;)
To answer the original question, I believe it has at least something to do with the culture, routine, and habit of an organisation which are all very difficult to break or alter.
and then ask me again in may when I'll have just about written up about 3000 words and done a presentation on the subject.
Sure is coursework SCL, just wondering if anyone wanted to share any thoughts on the subject. I guess the question looks straight forward, but so do many things at first.
got a really exciting text book at home called managing organisational change.. I'm not sure that I really got around to reading it, but your welcome to borrow it, or I'll dig it out tonight and post stimulating bits of it to you tomorrow.
see ya inbox, you're a star.
I would mention somewhere how people are suspicious of their organisation being changed, and feel threatened and suchlike...
Thought Of The Day, only about marketing and stuff? Sounds exciting, I might phone in sick.
