not much going on
to try and anger myself but he's just a bit dull and smug. A disappointment.
pretty low level stuff
on some obscure blogging platform and then declared that his blog had won (?)
can't find the other tweet later in the day where he declared himself to be the best at having opinions but that's because twitter if even harder to search than this place
or you're making it up
theres a question time spesh on tonight int there.
Is anyone an actual marxist anymore?
except for Corbyn vs Smith Question Time special!! Tonight!!! Might actually watch.
but Smith is going bald and he should probably just bic it
- the 'Jeremy! Jeremy, man! Come on, Jeremy!' bloke reappearing at the end to give a thumbs-up
- the bloke who stood up and did a weird speech at the start
- somebody being all like "can you even name ONE policy where you differ from Corbyn? Can you???" and Owen Smith easily could
Corbyn annoyed me personally the other day with what should have been a positive policy announcement on the sector I work in but in typical fashion just highlighted his incompetence and laziness. I tried to make a scene on twitter but no-one was having any of it.
and just thought "these people are idiots" so went off to research what the Green's were up to.
There has to be a party out there somewhere that one could vote for without feeling absolutely wretched after.
huge swing losses in council by-elections for Labour, I've noticed. Big one in Sheffield last night.
Anyone care? Suppose that's the end of Corbyn's WE'VE WON ALL OF THE ELECTIONS messaging at least.
"the coup has killed Labour's polling" message. It would be surprising if Labour was cleaning up at by elections during a very fractious leadership contest, hard to read much into these losses at the moment.
How would you even campaign as a Labour councillor at the moment? The leadership election is going to have a maybe effect the direction of the party, plus the chance of a split looms pretty heavily, how could you make any long term commitments to your electorate?
that post is specifically about campaigning in council by elections.
Sounds like a door knocker having a whinge
But who cares right?
it he/Labour been able to spend the last few months since Brexit attacking the Tories maybe things would have been different but...yeah, the self-fulfilling prophecy continues.
that he is fucking useless at attacking the Tories. He's no good at it. Watch that Vice video and see for yourself.
how was abstaining on the welfare vote, yay trident, bomb syria, plunging the party into a leadership contest "attacking the tories"? He is there precisely because they weren't attacking the Tories, on anything. Yes he could be more effective, but it'd be a start to actually give him their support and get behind him for a bit at least if he wins this next contest.
This argument is like when people kept going on about Arsenal not buying a striker a few years back, because Giroud wasn't good enough, without making any suggestions other than maybe Wilfred Bony or Benteke (with similar or worse records) for who to replace him with. Well look how they both turned out. And there isn't even anyone as good as them available at the moment in Labour so there is no use replacing him. Better wait til he inspires some decent people to join the party as MPs in the great deselection game, or Clive Lewis, or someone else proves themself.
And everyone was like Scott Dann! Christopher Samba! and Wenger went and bought Per Mertesacker and everyone went Too slow! but Wenger was right. Not sure who Owen Smith is in this scenario but it felt relevant when i started the post.
Christopher Samba is... Angela Eagle?
Mertesacker... Erm... Dunno
Jess Phillips as Joey Barton.
Jeremy Corbyn votes for law to officially recognise Arsenal as the 'best team in the world'
Idiots can stay on the new forum, thanks
Please don't make join the new forum.
as is the current 'Corbyn's losing council by-elections!' stuff
it would have been painted as Corbyn's fault (and already was by some MPs and the Guardian who literally sent a reporter round Oldham trying to find people with negative comments about him beforehand, etc) if those byelections had been bad results for Labour, so they were perfectly entitled to smugly claim them as victories.
Sadiq Khan is definitely in for a fairly big dip in support if he runs again (though I suspect he is only after one term and gig on the front benches)
when Smith said the SWP and AWL are anti-semitic. Is that ok?
all this Labour shit recently has just made me right wing
It's just been relentlessly attacked by the mainstream media.
Boards only die when
You discuss Corbny
"My thoughts are with those whose lives were shattered 15 years ago in the horrific atrocity on 9/11 - and in the wars and terror unleashed across the globe in its aftermath."
Thank you confrontedbybears.
It'll probably be fine.
because everyone now knows he is gonna win and have accepted he'll be gently touching a human face with a nice boot forever.
All is forgotten
Is now safely lodged in my subconscious.
Laughably unfit for leader.
