How did your club do?
I have no further comment
Ins: Xhaka £35m, Holding £2m, Asano £6m (loaned out), Mustafi £35m, Perez £17m.
Outs: Wilshere (loan), Gnabry £5m, Chambers loan
I have no problems with the players brought in, but the reality is it's a pretty underwhelming window without a high class attacking player who can score 20+ a season (from wide). But the again, looking at everyone else's business it seems that only United and maybe City had outright successful summer's, which suggests that the tv money isn't the equaliser people thought it would be.
Losing Gnabry sucks, he's a brilliant player. Not much we could have done about it though, I don't think. Wilsheres loan makes absolutely no sense, as I'd have him in our first XI wide right. But it sounds like it was his decision rather than the club's... Both players I'd play ahead of Walcott and ox
Still, Xhaka looks pure class, as does Holding for unbelievable value. So it's not terrible by any means.
I kinda love arsene but at the same time he fucking infuriates me, not that I need to tell that to an arsenal fan.
but alas not perhaps
as mediocre ones. Quite a long roll call of recent big money prolific strikers signings going shite (Bony, Benteke, Torres, etc). So not toooo disappointed with that aspect. Sad that Theo is still there though. And VERY sad about Jack so shut up everyone I mean it.
Amusing to read year in year out who Wenger needs to spend some money and then according to that list up there he has! And you guys are still griping...
Player of the year from Italy, France and Germany and a loveable strong, bastard centre-half.
If he really had fire in his belly he'd go to one of the many top European clubs who'd take a punt on him, with us paying most of his wages, probably. That he's sitting on a move to America, if he can't get in the United squad, doesn't make me keen for Mourinho to rethink things. Plus he said his season was going great last year, until he got injured, which wasn't really the case at all. He looked spent.
Bet Rooney'll still start though, eh?
In: Sigurdsson £4m, Kebano £3.7m, Sanchez £3.4m, Johansen £2m, Button £2m, Ayité £1.7m, McDonald £1.3m, Madl £1.3m, Odoi £850k, Malone (swap), Aluko (free), Piazon (loan), Kalas (loan), Martin (loan)
Out: McCormack £12m, Mitroglou £6m, Stekelenburg £850k, Pringle £250k, Lonergan £250k, Amorebieta £250k, Dembele £250k, Hyndman (free), O'Hara (free), Kacaniklic (free), Burn (free)
Obviously losing both of our best players in the same window isn't good. The price we got for McCormack was huge and we'd have been daft to turn it down, The Dembele one stings a bit more but I guess we'll get some tribunal money and he'll absolutely tear it up in Scotland. Losing Hyndman to the wigs on a free's a bit annoying too, looks a really good prospect.
Everything else. Finally got all the deadwood from our Premiership days off the wage bill, somehow got someone to pay £6m for Mitroglou. Haven't done our usual thing when we have a bit of money to spend of getting a ridiculously frustrating inconsistent show pony (was worried when we were linked with Adebayor) and have bought a decent mix of energy and experience. Martin and Piazon on loan could be really good signings, everyone else has started the season well.
Good bit of needless defensiveness about your shit stadium though bd
In Pogback - £loads, Zlatan- £nowt, Bailly- £30ish, Mikky Terror- £20ish
Out Some no marks
Great window should've spent more on Pogba just to annoy people.
Only way it could have been better was if Rooney would've left and we replaced him with someone faster with a better touch like Lee Trundle
*on a slightly related note, it's definitely trolled me up how everyone reports Renato Sanches as a bargainous squidlike 35m euro capture (actually 80m with add ons) while peeps always reach for the top figure with Martial (similar deal).
Grand total- £250m plus add ons
Don't think any of the other top teams have strengthened their weaker areas so well. Real title contenders.
Got some defensive cover for injuries and also at the last minute landed our top target, winger Marvin Johnson from Motherwell for an apparent club record fee. Looks like an absolute player.
Over the whole window we've definitely strengthened the squad..lost a couple of key players quite early on which left a lack of goals - but bought well I think. Curtis Nelson from Plymouth was a proper coup, and we've got a few young and hungry Premiership players too (some on loan, some on permanent contracts).
Generally pretty happy.
Good scoring record for a defender there too!
Stephen Warnock (Derby) - Great, was on loan with us last year anyway. Commanding at the back
Nick Powell (Man Utd) - Back again. Hit and miss but sparkled for us at times before being a naughty boy. Scored our first ever European goal so gets a free pass.
Jordi Gomez (Sunderland) - Welcome home babe.
Ádám Bogdán (Liverpool) - Decent cover in nets.
Alex Gilbey (Colchester) - No idea
Dan Burn (Fulham) - as above
Kyle Knoyle (West Ham)
Jake Buxton (Derby)
Shane McDOnald (Bournemouth)
Some other fellas on loan - *shrug*
Jason Pearce (Charlton) and a loan of youngsters out on loan. Bleh.
In on loan from, umm... Cardiff these days?
Probably bag us a few late on. Impact sub innit.
but that can go either way a league above. Burn is massive and good in the air but he's clumsy and so, so slow. Could be decent with the right person next to him I suppose
Ins: Janssen, Wanyama, Lopez (loan), N'Koudou, Sissoko
Outs: Mason, Bentaleb (loan), Chadli, Pritchard, Yedlin, N'Jie (loan), McGee, Fazio and Oduwa (all loans)
Overall, I'm fairly happy. Obvious targets were cover for Kane and Janssen looks good so far, cover for Dier/Dembele, Wanyama and Sissoko can both do that. We also needed some pace and power for when the tappy bollocks doesn't work so N'Koudou and Sissoko make sense in that regard. The Lopez signing only really makes sense if there's a view to a permanent deal at the end, he's not going to replace Lloris this season, hoping if he does well he'll replace Vorm as number 2 first.
Was worried we've left ourselves a big light rather than concerned at who we've let go. #fairplay to Mason - I would have kept him over Carroll but he obv wanted first team football. Bentaleb could be a #player, hope he impresses in Germany and we keep him. #respect to Chadli, good signing for West Brom!
Would be an excellent by too. Would make the inevitable loss of Hugo in the next few years (if we dont continue to get CL) more manageable as that kid is potentially world class.
I guess Son could play up top if he had to
little Jonny Williams
Jakub Sokolik (free), Jermaine McGlashan (free), Simon Cox (free), Jason Demetriou (free), Anton Ferdinand (free), Mark Oxley (free), Adam King (loan), Ryan Inniss (loan), Nile Ranger (free).
Kevan Hurst (free), Jack Payne (free - EPPP payment), David Worrall (free), Myles Weston (free), Cian Bolger (free), Daniel Bentley (free - EPPP payment), Noel Hunt (free), Gary Deegan (free), Luke Prosser (free), Paul Smith (free)
Overall we've done pretty good business, especially up top with Cox being a fantastic signing, and Ranger seems to have his head screwed on (although currently injured). Our bad start to the season hasn't helped but I expect when players settle down and Brown sticks to his best XI we should be ok this season.
My main concerns is that we haven't really replaced Payne (Huddersfield) and Bentley (Brentford) who are fantastic prospects and already doing well in the CCC. Oxley doesn't look convincing in goal and we look short of goalscoring midfielders. Brown has also assembled a slightly unbalanced squad with only two genuine wingers but 3 right backs. We also lack an upgrade on Deegan in the midfield destroyer role, which has been our weakness so far this season.
Anton Ferdinand looks class for L1 but isn't fully fit. Last night we brought in Ryan Inniss on loan from Palace who is a young tall CB with a lot of potential (apparently).
Ins: Ryan Mason - £13m, Markus Henriksen - Loan until £4.5m deal in January, James Weir - undisclosed but likely between £2-5m, David Marshall - 3.5m,Will Keane - £1m, Dieumerci Mbokani - Loan.
Outs: Mohamed Diame - £3.5m, Sone Aluko - free.
David Marshall is a good addition between the sticks, but no outfield defenders is worrying, especially no right sided fullback. Hoping Odubajao has a good (and quick) recovery, as I don't want to rely on Elmohamady there for the whole season.
Aside from that, I'm cautiously optimistic for the rest. Mason should slot in just fine and Henriksen is an exciting prospect if he adjusts quickly. Never heard of Jason Weir until yesterday but that he was captain of the United U21s is certainly encouraging. Less encouraging is his hair, gingers dying their hair blonde always look like quite troubled creatures.
Will Keane doesn't have a good scoring record but is still worth a £1m punt. Mbokoni I'm not sure on, if I remember right he missed a lot of sitters for Norwich, but was pretty good in the air and we desperately needed an option like that up front... though he might also be as useful as a jacket potato with tits.
Keeping Abel Hernandez is great but lucky, he almost went to Villa for £20m but that deal fell through because apparently he wanted £100,000 a week wages the daft twat.
To be clear: Hull are still favourites for relegation. The squad remains thin and there's a concerning lack of quality in one or two areas. Next game is against Burnley. Massive.
such as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew25r5u8nXI&spfreload=10
All with absolutely shocking music that I'm just not prepared to sit through. That he hasn't been sent out on loan before is certainly odd so it's hard to get a sense of what he's about. His amount of senior appearances amount to 1, which lasted 1 minute!
The best thing we did was shifting some of the less-committed players from our relegated side and replacing them with a mixture of decent promise and experience.
I'm happier about this summer's trading than I have been for a while.
townsend, janmaat, sissoko and wijnaldum - I'd be surprised if a relegated side has ever made half as much from transfers
and reinvesting to have comfortably the strongest squad in the division. so weirdly positive
is insanely good business. In the championship Diame will certainly be able to perform at a similar standard.
Who cares really. It is all just a tasteless distraction from the march to the grave
IN: Nathaniel Knight Percival, Nicky Law, Colin Doyle (£1), Timothee Dieng, Romain Vincelot (undisclosed), Matthew Kilgallon, Jordy Hiwula (loan), Josh Cullen (loan), Marc Mcnulty (loan), Haris Vuckic (loan).
satisfactory window, especially happy with Vincelot and with Cullen coming back. seemed until yesterday like a very strong squad but short of a decent goalscorer, hopefully those last 2 loans will fix that.
cba listing the OUTs, mostly players that Parkinson released before he left.
no major losses but would have liked to see how Billy Knott did under a less pragmatic manager
- any window that happens is considered a success.
otherwise mainly good but i don't think i like sissoko
Out: A few - mainly on loan
Would read again.
In - Ferghouli (Looks decent but is injured), Ayew (is decent but injured), Tore (Looks a bit poor but not injured), Zaza (looks decent, not injured, ha ha a penalty gif), Arbeloa (old, experienced, useful, not injured), Nordveit (average, not injured), Fernandez (swiss apparently, not injured), Fletcher (the real Rashford, looks promising, not injured), Martinez (young, not injured), Calleri (crap at one on ones, not injured), Arthur M (looks great, covering for an injured player)
will be like a new signing
IN: Kante (£30m), Batshuayi (£32m), Luiz (£34m-ish), Alonso (£23m-ish), some Portuguese keeper.
OUT: Salah (£Forgot we still had him), Papy (£8m, farewell sweet prince), 200 players on loan
Started really well. Kante could potentially be the singing of the season and £30m is a steal for what he brings. Early days for Batshuayi but he looks promising and also seems like a good guy- think he'll score a few.
After that things went a bit.... weird? Kept offering people way below the asking price for centre-backs (we've been doing this since we went for Stones 3 transfer windows ago) and then finally bought back Luiz. Really doesn't seem like a Conte signing, and I would have preferred someone who can actually defend, but we'll see how it goes. Should be fun at least. When Luiz first joined he looked great (think that was under Ancelotti for a few months). He was then amazing in the CL final, but outside of that there were so so many mistakes. Probably hasn't played under a manager as good as Conte since Ancelotti though, so intrigued what he can do with him.
I know very little about Alonso but hearing he's got really good since going to Italy. Gives us options at least. Of course, all of the above transfers are pretty insignificant next to the glorious return of Victor Moses.
Overall: 7.5/10- mostly because of Kante.
We've only really got Costa and Batshuayi now, then a couple of young guys (though our best young striker is currently scoring every week for Bristol City). Maybe we're planning on putting Luiz up front.
Why the fuck have we loaned out Traoré? He looked good when I saw him play last year. Delighted about the return of Victor Moses obviously.
The Guardian says 38 players are out on loan. That's ridiculous.
But for Chelsea to get a completely new spine in Luiz, Kante & Michy for a similar price looks good value.
Also adds much needed legs to the team
against Liverpool. Scores stupid amounts of goals at youth level and has started well in the Championship- 5 in 6 games
No idea about Traore. I liked him too. Can only assume he didn't fit into Conte's plans.
The loan thing is so weird. Some of them are useful but the vast majority are just people we signed to farm out for profit. The amount of times I read "former Chelsea player" about players I've never heard of is getting silly.
former member of the larger Chelsea PLC family or summat
IN: Jazz Richards (don't deserve him), Rickie Lambert (will be fun), Kenneth Zohore (promising young striker) & Frederic Gounongbe (dunno, another cf)
OUT: Macheda (thank god), David Marshall :(, Fabio , Malone, Ben Turner (all fine)
Overall good, we've offloaded a couple of deadweights, made a good price for Marshall and hopefully solved our striker problems. Think we've had about 2 shots on target all season so far so they can't do any worse tbqh.
OUT: Lewis Cook, Wootton, Antenucci, Bellusci,
Good riddance / don't care to all but Cook, who it's obviously gutting to see go. Interested to see how he fits in with Wilshere's arrival and if that makes a good midfield.
Really glad we kept Charlie Taylor but his eventual departure has the grim inevitability of all our other good youngsters
Rob Green, Kemar Roofe, Marcus Antonsson, Pablo Hernandez, Eunan O'Kane, Ronaldo Vieira
Roofe and Vieira seem exciting and promising and need time, otherwise seem like solid squad additions. In theory we should be moving forward - for the first time in ages - from our perma-15th championship status but a long way off top 6 still.
With the money trickling down I feel like we're getting left behind, and unless we have a change in structure and ownership, we'll continue to lose every promising player we have.
I like our coaching staff and Monk, but it feels like without cash injection, the only way up is to play the long-game, develop the squad and use someone like Wednesday/Huddersfield for inspiration. With Cellino that's impossible though
Robert Snodgrass, Bradley Johnson, Jonny Howson (all three, consecutively Norwich’s player of the season), Kasper Schmeichel, Fabian Delph, Adam Clayton, Max Gradel. Sam Byram, Lewis Cook...
even decent Championship-level players like Tom Lees and Ross McCormack.
named after the player. His brother's named after Romario.
That triumphs over anything
Was worried about the back 4, but Shaw is back, Valencia is in form and Bailly looks very good. Probably haven't been seriously tested yet though.
Ideally Rooney and Rojo would have been moved on.
Ins - Mandanda, Townsend, Tomkins, Benteke, Remy.
Out - Loads, but most notably Jedinak, Bolasie, Jonny Williams, Adebayour, Chamakh.
Probably the best level of signings we've ever made, but we're a bit thinner in terms of depth.
Romaine Sawyers (Walsall, free*) - seems ok but so far has been really lazy, is meant to link between the midfield and Scott Hogan up front but half the time gets into good space, then just stands there waiting for everyone else to move for him so he can then get tackled and thus leaves Hogan isolated up front. reckon he might come good though, would rather have a non-dead Alan Judge there in his place mind
John Egan (Gillingham, free*) - best defender so far this season, scored a couple of goals and looks a threat from set pieces and looks at home in the Championship. reckon it should be him + either Dean or Bjelland in central defence going by current form.
Daniel Bentley (Southend, free*) - ace, mades loads of great saves in the three home matches i've seen so far and doesn't hit the ball out of play over Bidwell's head on the left when knocking it long every single time like Button did
Callum Elder (Leicester, loan) - left back, seems pretty good so far
Emmanuel Ledesma (Rotherham, non-contract basis) - no idea, apparently did ok against Rotherham away off the bench
Rico Henry (Walsall, £dunno) - left back, that's all i know. could be good
Sullay Kaikai (Crystal Palace, loan) - winger, supposed to be good
David Button (Fulham, £dunno) - dead to me
Jake Bidwell (QPR, £dunno) - dead to me
Jack O'Connell (Sheff Utd, £dunno) - liked him but didn't seem comfortable on the ball so wasn't ever really going to fit in that well with how we play at the back
Emmanuel Ledesma (Panetolikos, free) - didn't last long then
CAME BACK FROM INJURY SO IS EFFECTIVELY A NEW SIGNING BUT NOT REALLY:
Lewis Macleod - signed from Rangers in January 2015 when he was injured and then got repeatedly injured (once by falling over a twig) to the point that he made one brief sub appearance and one spot on the bench in 18 months. is now fit and has played every match so far, looks well good. likes to shoot, plays some clever passes and should just get better as he gets fitter and fitter. hope he stays fit and gets a proper season under his belt.
* might be some tribunal fees due but no idea what they are
he's a real talent
He scored one of the best goals I've seen live:
Look after Sullay Kaikai. I wanted us to keep him at the club, looks a real talent.
Also, Rico Henry is supposed to be really good, I wanted us to sign him.
6 players IN:
Hakim Ziyech from FC Twente (£9.4 mln)
Mateo Cassierra from Deportivo Cali (£4.7 mln)
Davinson Sánchez from Atlético Nacional (£4.3 mln)
Bertrand Traoré from Chelsea (loan, £1.7 mln)
Heiko Westermann from Real Betis (free)
Tim Krul fromNewcastle (loan)
13 players OUT:
Arek Milik to Napoli (£27.2 mln)
Jasper Cillessen to Barcelona (£11 mln)
Viktor Fischer to Middlesbrough (£4.3 mln)
Mike van der Hoorn to Swansea (£2.1 mln)
Ricardo van Rhijn to Club Brugge (£1.5 mln)
Lucas Andersen to Grasshoppers (£1.3 mln)
Sheraldo Becker to ADO Den Haag (£0.2 mln)
Lesly de Sa to Slovan Bratislava (free)
Nicolai Boilesen to FC Copenhagen (free)
Ruben Ligeon to Slovan Bratislava (free)
Lerin Duarte to Heracles (free)
Robert Muric to Delfino Pescara (loan)
Richairo Zivkovic to FC Utrecht (loan)
Made a net profit of £27.6 mln, which is nice. The loss of Milik and Cillessen is huge though, and although Zilyech and Krul have track records as a striker and a goalkeeper respectively, they are no true class replacements for these departures.
This season will be a write-off. Sack the manager!
The must have parts of anyone's amazing FIFA15 career team
Loris Karius - Should be good, highly rated, obviously injured, so have to wait and see
Ragnar Klavan - Still early days but could go either way, has sometimes looked like he has no clue.
Sadio Mane - Looking good, still 34m is a bit steep, but at least it's looking promising.
Joel Matip - No idea yet.
Georginio Wijnaldum - I'm guessing playing for a team that was as much of a shambles as Newcastle will knock anyone's confidence. No doubt he has ability, just need him to settle and hopefully will come good (again, feels like 25m is a bit steep mind)
Joe Allen - sad to see him go, always rated him as a squad player - and he looked tidy at the Euros, but if he gets to play regularly then good on him.
Oussama Assaidi - had such high hopes for him and he never realised them, sad for the guy and a shame we couldn't even make something out of it, but seems to be best for both.
Sergi Canos - I don't actually know enough to comment on that one
Daniel Cleary - ditto this one
Jordon Ibe - Never reached the heights we expected, and has potential to be a bit chippy about things, so in the long run probably best, and a good fee, but still had always hoped he could have become a good player for us.
Ryan McLaughlin - again, no idea
Jordan Rossiter - looked good in some of the cup games he came in to, and a local boy, so surprised to see him go on a free, but good luck to him
Jerome Sinclair - interested to see him develop at watford, was always highly rated in terms of potential but obviously not something they felt he was going to realise
Martin Skrtel - Will miss the guy but had clearly had a huge downturn since return from injury.
Brad Smith - Interested to see him develop, but not good enough for the squad really. That said, without any natural LBs (Moreno is clearly a winger, or wing back at most) it might have been nice to have him around.
Kolo Toure - Sad as I liked him, not sad as he ran as if he was towing a lorry
Samed Yesil - same as Assaidi, had heard promising things and had been with the youth squad for a while but obviously failed to ever develop in the way they thought.
Mario Balotelli - :(
Christian Benteke - For the best really, never looked up for Klopp's style
Luis Alberto - been around a while on a decent wage not doing much. Probably good to free up funds
Adam Bogdan - Think he'll do ok at Wigan (is it Wigan?) as cover, but not going to have much to do with Mignolet and now Karius in front.
Overall probably 6.5-7/10
Trimmed some dead weight and got in some decent reinforcements, but a lot of them are slow burners. Didn't lose Coutinho which was a real concern for me, but also didn't look at finding a replacement for Sturridge, and getting a proper LB who can defend. At least we didn't spend silly money (despite the slight overpricing of Mane and Winjaldum)
lools like enough to re-fill the Pere Lachaise
There were actually a few more I didn't put in - even more youth players and some loanee's etc.
Probably our best transfer window ever, although we are lacking cover in central midfield and left back. We've really trimmed our squad down, and at the moment have spaces in our 25 man squad, and that includes having Zeki Fryers in it.
We've upgraded the goalkeeper, selling Alex McCarthy for £4 million, and replacing him with Steve Mandanda for £1.5 million. That's incredible business.
We've sold Bolasie for £25 million, and replaced him with Townsend for £13million. Again, good business.
We've sold Gayle for £10 million, and replaced him with Benteke for £27 million. Benteke is a lot, but I think he'll do well, and has looked promising considering he didn't really play for Liverpool in preseason. I'm disappointed we let Gayle go, but a number of mangers haven't rated him, he either scores against Liverpool or lower league teams in the cup. He is one of those players who are too good for the Championship, but too lightweight for the Premier League.
I'm pleased with singing Tomkins for £10million, as Delaney is 35 now and is starting to look it.
Getting £4million for a 32 year old Jedinak, again is good business, but I'm disappointed we didn't replace him. That could be a downfall, if we get midfielders injured.
We've also released Adebayor, Chamakh and Mariappa. But Chamkh is still training with us and I wouldn't be against resigning him. Flamini is apparently without a club, and again he could be a good free to replace Jedinak.
I nearly forgot us getting Loic Remy on loan, he replaces one of Chamakh or Adebayor, again an improvement.
He was bobbins - everyone would comment on his toberlerone feet as when he tried to kick the ball it would go anywhere. He ran like he had lead weight in his boots. Genuinely struggle to fathom the career he went on to have with Palace.
Benteke and Remy is an outrageous strike force for you to have. I think they both prosper at places where they are the main men. I think they'll kill it for you
Yeah its weird, its similar to Clint Hill for me.
He started as a bit of a legend, but in his last season with us, when we were nearly relegated to League One on the last day. He looked shot, and was quite a liability.
But he had a number of years with you, and did well.
Then every year when everything else had failed we'd have to go back to him again to get him out of whatever mess we were in this time

We evidently don't disclose shit.
Our transition to tiki-taka lite football is almost complete with the signing of hispanophones. Now the football bit.
Ramirez deserved a contract after his performances when on loan last season. A lot of our season will depend on Negrado and Rhodes, who I thought might've moved on, scoring goals.
The defence was solid enough last season. I wouldn't have sign Guzan.
Fischer is the signing the fans are excited about although I know nothing of him.
£4.3 mln, obviously
That's a bargain for a very promising 22-year old winger.
I feel like with Les Ferdinand, JFH and Lee Hoos (Burnley's old CEO) we're finally starting to be vaguely well run
Jake Bidwell (always good to steal a player from Brentford lololol)
Joel Lynch (bastard centre back, should mostly be back up)
Jordan Cousins (excited by this - he absolutely bossed the show against us for Charlton last season)
Yeni Ngbokoto (is very fast)
Pawel Wszolek (know nothing about him, though I've always time for a Pole)
Idryssa Sylla (striker who seems to be back up for Big Seb, has a very long neck)
Ariel Borysiuk (another Pole, industrious midfield type)
Out - Matty Phillips, Leroy Fer, Junior Hoilett, Daniel Tozer, Cole Kwapekawa, Rob Green, Armand Traore, Clint Hill, Ale Faurlin
A successful window of making money, while addressing some of the deficits in our team. Since 2010 we've had no mobility in the centre of the park - Cousins and Borysiuk combined with Luongo means that is no longer an issue. We're also replaced Phillips and Hoilett with 2 players who might care/not be fundamentally broken. Added another big striker to back up new fan favourite Seb Polter as Washington can't play up top on his own. Right back remains an issue, though we know have good left back options in Bidwell and Robinson.
Caulker has apparently given up the booze and does look like a new player. At very least we should be able to make our money back in January. Sadly we couldn't shift Sandro. Funnily enough no one wants a man with no knees and a dodgy passport. Cheers for that one Harry.
Also enjoyed QPR fans calling selling Cole Kpekawa to Barnsley "the worst decision the club ever made". We got £450k for our fourth choice left back who's played 4 games for us. I hate football fans.
Overall, I feel we're a faster, stronger team. I think we can get 9/10th
I'm sure signings like the Bolasie and Sissoko ones are just to stop fans moaning, and I don't get Swansea and Leicester spending big on two strikers in the same windah when one of them will be sat on the bench.
If the acquisition of Sissoko was purely to stop Spurs fans moaning, he's already a spectacular failure.
If anything they should have bought more.

Weird window, since its the first that we've actually had a bit of cash to spend since the heady days of the early 00s. Also, the club seems to have broken the trend of losing players to free transfers. But...meh. We lost the best player we've had in about 10 years, although for a reasonable amount of money. Joselu is going to be crap, but pretty excited about Andone who was a real surprise for Cordoba last year. Buying the full rights to Sidnei was also a great bit of business, but I expect he'll be leaving next year to bigger things.
Looking at the competition, this team could easily get a Europa League spot. I really don't want to spend yet another year worrying about relegation. We'll probably finish 15th. :(
will be on Marlos watch 4 ya'll.
Oh god, not only has Pulis made us the most hated premiership team, tdd was a complete shambles. High hopes for Chadli, if he's not tired out from shagging the female fans.
Watford defender that the Watford fans are happy to see the back of.
Hal. Robson. Kanu. He's got to live up to that goal. He won't, will he?
Three players out that Pulis hated.
After the Carvalho, Camacho, Slimani etc rumours it was a massive fuck you from WBA. #pulisout
Don't think they'd be particularly happy anyway, but the fact it's been pretty much business as usual despite the takeover, while the new owners at the Wolves and Villa have got new managers in and thrown the money around and got plenty of new players in just rubs salt in the wounds
Apparently we've signed Christian Benteke's younger brother, Jonathan.
I'm not sure if he is actually any good, or its just to keep Christian company.
I remember when we signed Rui Fonte years ago, and signed Jose simply for him to look after him. That worked out quite well.
Eden / Thorgan Hazard. And also the Musonda brothers. Belgium obviously big on their #FamilyValues
because he supposedly had problems with homesickness. Funny in a way, as we bought Negredo at the same time and in the end it was Negredo who supposedly suffered the most from it, cited as a reason why we fucked him off to Valencia after only one season. Can only imagine he managed to kick that in the head given he's now at, er...

Got high hopes for him. Seems to just score wonder goals all the time.
He's been injured so I haven't seen him play. But I think he'll struggle to get much time with Caulker, Onohua and Hall ahead of him

Mendes, Oliveira, Jokic and Chris O'Grady (still can't believe the shit house turned out for us) have all returned to their parent clubs. The first three were all decent, Jokic in particular could do a lot better than the EFL.
Gutted we've lost a brilliant attacker for the second season in a row. In truth it may only be the difference between lower and upper mid table and we got a load of cash for a lad who has started a dozen games. Good luck to him.
We have been left with Assombalonga (brilliant striker, made of glass) Fryatt (good striker, hasn't played in over a year) and Velios (looks like an absolute clogger). Needless to say say, everyone is panicking at the lack of options in attacking positions.
Along with Burke we also sold or loaned our two other wide men, Ward (solid 6-7/10 performer) and Paterson (fantastic talent/zero application). They were replaced by Carayol, one of the best players in the champo about 4 years ago and two unknowns with next to no info available on them. Hildeberto has so far been excellent going forward and I'd imagine will take one of the wide forward slots.
Central Midfield is looking fantastic at the moment. I'd have liked to have seen us bag a destroyer type, but I'd say we can field any 2 or 3 of 6 decent midfielders and not be significantly worse off.
We've still got four or five tremendous youngsters in or on the cusp of the first team, which is really exciting. The wage bill has been slashed and we have a sexy Frenchman at the helm. I'd be happy if we had a decent cup run and top ten finish.
I think this window has been a wake up call to anyone who thought we weren't completely in the shit financially. Even with the Burke windfall, we are still no where near out of the woods.

Bravo's better than Hart.
Stones is better than Mangala and Demichelis.
Sané is better than Navas.
Nolito's probably on a par Nasri.
Gündoğan's better than an old, uninterested Toure.
Gabriel Jesus is better than Bony.
No world beaters, though. Still think we'll lose more games than United or Chelsea this year, but we should have an obscenely slick side next season onwards.
