David Luiz back to Chelsea!? Sissoko to Spurs!? Wilshere to Watford!? John Ruddy to Sunderland...
hope my club buys someone
I hope he lives forever
and are predicting that today's spending could break the £4m mark.
Do one, Isco!
(RIP in Pieces in Scotland, Carlton, peace be upon you):
Starts off like the swimming pool bit in The Day Today, then closes with a brilliant clarification around Ronaldo.
He seems like a fun and nice man
breath of fresh air that man
as a description of a crap job
1 year loan deal.
3 year deal, £2.5 mln
he was utter toss last season before the Euros
dotn reckon we'll sign anyone fwiw
hope we don't sign him
they reckon on the radio. Am calling that Palace.
but we might need him now CBJ is on loan
I'd rather start with 10
tbh. Wouldn't rely on him for the whole season.
wonder if we'll see the return of Ol Phil Jones or Ol Chris Smalling
Which, if you get it, is mildly amusing for Norwich to sign a guy called Nelson
His stats are hardly inspiring. Also we all know what happened last time we signed a no.9 from the Portuguese league don't we ey?
He's got a good touch and is surprisingly nimble for a big man. There were many games where it looked like he was half asleep, but when he was on it (handily v Derby) he was as good as any striker in the league.
Season-long loan, £2 mln fee.
Doing lines of beak in the bogs at Infernos
as Eddie only really likes players he has signed before, or raging Christian newbies who turn out to be a bit shit.
He will surely opt to not bother moving house and go to Palace.
Permanent move (contract length unknown), €8 mln fee.
4 year deal.
Canny move sending Campbell out on loan! Don't want to put Walcott's place under threat.
Had a good Olympics, 1 year left on his contract, opportunity to cash in.
But suddenly looking a bit patchy on the wing, especially if* there are any injuries.
paying £50mil for him! blimey!1!
and go mid table Prem because he wants to stay with his awful mates and take coke and smoke fags. Disgusting. He can fuck off.
On loan until January.
has he seen the state of our physio room?! proper shite
instead of just making it fuck off for a while. Probably do with not giving the players in question ludicrous wages in the first place I guess.
Prem is almost *too* rich, can't offload players abroad because of wage demands, hence all this loaning nonsense.
A liability that I wouldn't have thought Conte would be keen on.
Least we forget: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCnVH6_158w
returning to a top English club?
nothing to see here.
but it's just not working
I'm absolutely horrified that this transfer looks as though it might be happening. Could see the funny side last night, but the rumours haven't dissipated.
in his career is one which people are just going to look back on for decades and decades and scratch their heads over.
as each of the goals goes in is enjoyably calming
No doubting the bloke is a talent and has produced in big games for Chelsea in the past.
Just seems the most non Conte type signing ever. Can only think it gives him more options if going to 3-5-2.
Really lost on this one
“Suddenly, my career has been an important turning: it was a sign.Torino’s offer came in the right moment, with the right manner. I am very excited to compare myself in an important and beatiful League such as Serie A.
History of italian goalkeeper is known everywhere: I am sure I could learn in Torino too. For this reasons I accepted President Cairo’s proposal. I have already met Attilio Lombardo, with whom I worked in Manchester winning a lot: I hope to live the same emotions this year. I have read some interview about Toro: the coach wants humilty and ambition. I like that. Thats’s how I want to be.”
and came out with Hart on his way to Egypt while reminiscing of his time at a dog food factory:
Suddenly , my career has been a major turning point : it was the offer of a sign.Torino arrived at the right time , with the right way . I am very excited to confront in an important and beautiful as the League of Serie A.

Really hope cardiff can trick robson kanu into signing a contract since everyone else has forgotten about him
Loan until January.
Seen as they've already spent big on a striker this season and presumably will still be playing Vardy.
Ulloa is supposed to be offloaded.
Slimani/Okazaki + Vardy/Musa rotated i am guessing.
so he's been watched for a while. Musa has been brought on down the wing in the last couple of games, with Ulloa through the middle, but Leo has said he wants to go somewhere else for more game time.
Mahrez has signed a fat new contract.
At the moment it looks like Okazaki is needed as the second striker, so it will be about rotation/cover.
Permanent move (contract length unknown), £1.4 mln fee.
Permanent move (contract length unknown), £3 mln fee.
Brilliant loan for him. I really rate him and wanted him as a bench option this year. Hopefully he'll do well there.
not just cause of Jim White now, but how every club announces a signing with a teaser on Twitter
have you got your yellow tie on today?
or is that just his face?
(editor's note: good riddance)
you're losing your edge, bongo
Get your priorities rights, obviously.
I disapprove of your transfer updates but I will defend to the death your right to prioritise them
Permanent move (contract length unknown), €16 mln fee.
5 year deal.
Season-long loan, with an option to buy. £4.5 mln fee.
** ohgood to thread **
Playing the long game - getting into the (future) England manager's thinking for Qatar 2020.
and be like "I'm acclimatised, I'm playing regularly, I know all the good bars and restaurants, I've made peace with the construction worker deaths, I don't need a plane ticket...need I go on??"
4 year deal. £15 mln fee.
90% of Joe Hart's time at City he's been up there with anyone, but the timing's right. Bit weird seeing a keeper worth in the region of £20m go on loan, but the club hamstrung themselves by not sorting matters earlier.
Pretty much all our best football has involved Nasri, but he's arguably not been consistant enough against lesser opposition. Personally thought his style of play could excel under Guardiola, but as likely he could rub him up the wrong way. Been a very good signing overall.
Bony's a pudding. Not worth the £28m we paid. Thought Everton or West Ham might get their wallets out. At least Stoke are covering his wages in full. Think he'll score a hatload for them. Panic buy.
Words can't honestly describe the Mangala signing. Surprised the fraud squad aren't investigating it, tbh. £42m upfront, at least £100k a week for a year, now probably half of that still every week for one, possibly two seasons on loan. Disaster.
About £1m a month off the wagebill, but as usual the suits are popping champagne corks whilst their trousers are still well and truly round their ankles.
forgotten he existed. £23m wow he must have got good
Can you name a player that has completed a stint in Italy and come out the other side worse?
£130k a week.
I thought it was £90k, but yes they are the only team that agreed to pay 100%.
We offered 75%. There is also no break clause in the contract if he gets injured, and they are paying a £2 million loan fee (that's fine).
I would have loved for us to sign him, but its a bit of a risk committing to £90k (or £130k) a week, with the risk of him getting injured early on and being stuck with his wages.
I'd rather us sign someone permanently who will be ours to keep. That's not sour grapes, honestly.
so it's basically a con trick - if/when he gets injured, Arsenal don't have to pay his wages, if he doesn't get injured then he gets game time and Arsenal get a better player (or more resale value).
It's taking some tortured logic, but I'm starting to understand this transfer now.
I love the fact that Gunnersaurus is in the background of this just having a chat with the lads https://vine.co/v/5imr3emlDYa
Signing number 13 of the summer.
On a less glamorous note, we've also got Richard Stearman back from Fulham on loan
West Ham have been linked for the last 3 or 4 windows now - he's a local lad and a fan - so it almost feels inevitable at some point, but I suspect the Arbeloa signing means it won't happen until next year now.
But as you say, can't see it happening now that you've signed Arbeloa
Literally seems to be a club boasting about how long it took to complete a transfer.
Alvaro Vazquez (of Swansea fame) to Deportivo #DONE
That went well. Been impressed by the #committee's dedication to dead wood shifting this window. Still not impressed by the combination of Thrillner and the adult-sized toddler at left back, but w'evs.
thought Koeman was smarter tbh.
would be quite the lovely pair of looked-good-at-a-tournament-once signings.
"Is Moussa Sissoko going to Everton? It shows how important Ronald Koeman is to Everton. They have no real recent Champions League history. They have not spent fortunes, the city is not the same draw as London, he is massively important in what Everton are trying to do. Everything else would draw you to Tottenham."
Sure, Koeman is kind of dreamy if you like that sort of thing. Or it might just be the fact that only Everton are prepared to meet the asking price.
Which I suspect will have helped in the negotiation of price on the loan. Allegedly etc.
and become the player we hoped he could and then come back to Arsenal all good. But really this is just the start of it being all over :(
is very much him becoming the player I hoped he could if that helps.
I don't know what he stands for, or even if he has any values.
I'm pretty certain he doesn't have a purpose.
Why do people invent/conceive/develop players like this?
The look of a man who's fucking dying for the cameras to leave so he can have a tab.
Are Bournemouth going toupée all of his wages?
Think you got it right the first time.
'On 31 August 2016, Levy was deemed to be mentally insane after sanctioning a £30 Million pound bid for Moussa Sissoko.'
I can't believe that Sissoko is going to Spurs for £30 million. Crazy.
I'm really happy with our transfers, we are a bit weak with central midfielders though having sold Jedinak. Seems daft loaning out Williams an Boateng. Cabaye is supposedly injured and we don't have much cover.
Still, the caliber of the 5 in is unprecedented.
Hopeful, given they were playing Donald chuffing Love a few weeks ago.
season long loan.
Rather have him than Adebayor, proven goalscorer at the level. Not the most exciting player ever but fills a need.
Also got Lucas Piazon on loan from Chelsea (obviously)
1) 'it's champions league football, but they're not going to win'
2) 'i hope the deal falls through'
about sissoko choosing spurs over everton
David Luiz describing his first stint at Chelsea as a fantastic story is a surprisingly reasonable appraisal of it.
"I must admit, I had to google who Red Bull Leipzig are"
1. Theyre in Leipzig. Leipzig are in Germany
2. What exactly is the point of a pundit who knows less about football than me - a Man United fan.
But I think that's probably being generous
Wallace (on loan to Grêmio until 30 June 2017)
lol, he was pretty mince
