who likes hazelnut syrup?
who always asks for skim milk?
who is buying frappuccinos in october?
(no idea what one of them even is)
My Friday treat, so today's the day. ☕
Basically, something relatively bitter ;)
i pretty much only get cappuccinos when i go to a coffee shop, if i'm drinking a filter i just make my own
Colour me surprised
I drink a few herbal teas (jasmine, camomile, lemon and ginger when I'm ill) but not normal tea. I'm a chai latte kind of girl.
you're right about the coffee though (ugh)
only ever from a cafe nero as well
walks in and uses the loo then gets himself a free paper cup of water
And crisps like a cappa.
but thank you for the gracious offer of a cappa.
all of the people i know who order flat whites are really un-dis
confident. you've got to be confident to order something thats a little bit more of a faff than a latte and there's a high percentage that it might go wrong.
Hate lattes and other milky coffees, an espresso is over a little too quickly, and you can't get a decent macchiato in most places, so flat white seems a good compromise. I mean, I don't actually really like coffee, nobody really does, do they. but a flat white has a cute little leaf on the top and makes me buzz just the right amount.
and there is nothing worse than speaking to somebody who has been drinking coffee, ARGH, coffee breath stink.
The problem is that most places don't actually give you a flat white. They give you a shit tiny latte or they make it with skimmed milk so it's some kind of horror. Of the chain places, Eat and Pret get closest to making a flat white but it's not nearly creamy enough.
The local places in Archway know how to make one.
If I am unsure I tend to just grab a latte because a latte is better than a incorrect Flat White.
hot chocolate with all the trimmings
needs the protein for his muscles
I DO drink large amounts of semi-skimmed milk though for this reason
it's kind of a wildcard for me, once in a blue moon
And the creaminess of a well-made flat white is one of life's real pleasures
i really wanted a coffee the other week and was only near a starbucks
but they were out of soya milk
they did however have coconut milk and by means of apology offered it to me for free (i think you pay like 50p for it or something)
because it was coconut milk i didn't want to add it to proper coffee so i got a latte
it wasn't very nice
the point is, who do you think would order a not-ver-nice coconut milk latte on the reg.?
but she was the first person to pop in my head. Must be a link between expensive toast and seasonal lattes but I'm not smart enough to work it out.
not that i have an extensive dossier about her or anything
Handing out your meowington dossier to all and sundry. If you can find a better dossier gif eric then fair play.
you're both right. I try almost every seasonal coffee with soya milk pls.
My fave tho is an amaretto latte from cafe Nero as you get a free little chocolate around Xmas time
pumpkin spiced latte with a shot of vanilla
I make my own coffee so can't be fucked dropping £3 in some queuey cackhole. Might let some twat get me one if they are getting them in for a meeting or something.
All you groupon fools wasting your pennies on coffees.
and I would go gingerbread ahead of pumpkin.
"Our signature espresso and milk are highlighted by flavor notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove to create this incredible beverage that's a fall favorite. Enjoy it topped with whipped cream and real pumpkin pie spices."
sounds alright there actually. bet it tastes like piss though.
Not a fan of flavoury stuff in coffee tbh.
I tried it because I find myself irresistibly drawn to The Pumpkin.
The thing is with pumpkin, it's pretty much the only thing on Earth with which the artificial variant tastes better than the real thing. Pumpkin pie is a national dish in both the US and Canada, and all who make it will tell you that they only ever used tinned pumpkin. The fresh stuff just doesn't compare.
For this reason, PSL (sorry) tastes much nicer than you might expect.
once you've added spices to it, it tastes exactly the same.
I love pumpkin pie, and I can never find anywhere to buy it so I usually make my own. I also find it hard to find the tinned stuff anywhere, so it takes absolutely hours what with roasting the pumpkin. Wish they'd start selling a Gu version of it in Saino's or something.
I could quite easily find out myself with a quick search, but:
a) Interacting with real people is better than interacting with algorithms
b) You might have some top tips/a specialist blend that'll make my pumpkins incredible
I have two huge pumpkins to carve, you see, and I still haven't decided what to do with the innards.
so maple syrup, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and rum. I did it with a butternut squash because they're easier to peel.
in our shitty dead end jobs but the caffeine wears off throughout the day and then we crash in the evening and have no energy for our own creative pursuits which is exactly how they want it because they're afraid of how beautiful our creativity is, man
to match his character
We're over an hour in now
extra shot if they offer.
one of those guys that goes into a coffee place and gets irate when staff asks him what sort of coffee he'd like. Just keeps repeating "coffee".
and I like my Joe regular'.
considering how much of an organic health wanker LD is in real life
skinny latte but served in a flask he's brought from home.
big white americano, but also in a flask from home.
As if I would ever go near anything 'skinny'. I'm Mr calories.
I have a Keep Cup though.
no milk no sugar please. And I get really disappointed if I ask for a filter and get an americano. NOT THE SAME.
Filter coffee is made with a filter and is actually meant to be drunk as it is. I'm not a fan of americano as I'm not into espressos
Was probably spending about £60 a month on take away coffee. I'm back on the wagon now though
but i just cannot get over how awful it makes me feel. it's not normal. i get a rush for about an hour, but then on the comedown i start feeling legitimately depressed and anxious, full blown bordering on a panic attack shit.
very jealous of people that can drink it and just get a bit groggy later
