then worked out where the up and coming areas are based on that assumption
coffees shops. Much like most of medium.com, this article didn't need to be written, let alone read.
Better than KFC imho, nicer chips.
Any day. Much better value for money too.
...that in New Cross we have tons of both so must therefore be a beacon of multi-culturalism. Then noticed that their target area just about includes my house. Dislike.
And I'm surrounded by nothing but fucking art students
but also, he's claiming Peckham doesn't have many fried chicken shops? Morley's wants a word.
The idea that Peckham has just 6 chicken shops and almost 40 coffee shops is just backwards.
Switch those numbers and I'll believe you.
Had pretty much the worst veggie burger (I know) I've ever had in my life.
'up and come' surely?
All he's done is find another way of racially profile areas and match them against average house prices.
Where a house already costs anything upwards of £700K?
Here's just one example:
[I mostly just wanted to post that house as the photo they chose for their main pic made me laugh]

"I’ve probably had my hair cut about 150 times in life. Last Thursday was by far the most insightful one yet."
Since joining Facebook, the pressure to have an impressive profile picture has been an…
I've recently moved a bit up the road and it's just too far to Dixy Chicken now (the one at Stamford Hill is fucking shite like).
Sometimes I see kids on the way to school eating chicken and I'm like "hmm I don't think they should do that" and then I remember I once had a doner on the way to school so maybe I shouldn't be so quick to judge

Want to know if I'm one of the good guys or not...
it was a 'from now' issued by ohgood in a plazticnikki flat purchase thread.
My conscience is clear...
if you assume black people like fried chicken and white people like coffee?* It is YOU that is the racist!
*not clicked the link, obvs
surely there's something to be said here about calling something racist based on stereotypes of who own/frequents certain establishments.
have a long racist history: http://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2013/05/22/186087397/where-did-that-fried-chicken-stereotype-come-from, so it's telling that the guy writing the article has chosen them as his marker of poverty/undesirability/somewhere you wouldn't want to live.
...through a US filter in this country, overall we're more obsessed by class than our American cousins rather than race. I'm not sure that friend chicken has such a race connotation here as it does a lower class one. Plenty of those areas with high numbers of chicken shops will still be majority white British populations. Still a shit way to judge an area mind.
maybe he should have chosen betting shops?
(I don't know, cba to read the article either)
