just seen possibly the worst defending of a hail mary ever.
god, the Colts are awful. they're going to win the AFC South and just sit there, fourth seed in the playoffs like a floating turd in the work bogs
Apart from missing Luck at the moment. Everyone seemed to be tipping them for the Superbowl just a few weeks ago.
there's mostly patchwork on defense, with a few good players (Vontae Davis, Robert Mathis) not good enough to lift the team overall
mainly the O-Line though. TY Hilton was a beast against the deep ball last season. this season, the O-Line hasn't given either quarterback enough time to throw it regularly. at least last night Andre Johnson and Frank Gore turned up
he wasn't against the deep ball, much like any wide receiver not called Darrius Hayward-Bey
yeah they seemed to have not realised that when you've got a great quarterback, it's far more important to get him protection than weapons
still on the board at that point: Donovan Smith (Bucs starting left tackle); Mitch Morse (Chiefs' starting center - PFF rated 4th best rookie so far this year); Rob Havenstein (Rams starting right tackle); Ty Sambrolio (Broncos starting left tackle) and loads of other O-Linemen.
but Dorsett's so speedy! great, he can get three-fifths of the way along his route instead of halfway by the time the QB gets sacked
Rodgers and Brady would never be successful without their elite receiving corps
Strengthened the flashy skill positions while letting things like the pass rush and the O-Line fall by the wayside. Not sure how long Ryan Grigson can dine out on having drafted Andrew Luck because pretty much everything he's done since has been a disaster.
What's the worst record a team's ever had and got in to the playoffs? Could be under threat there.
Guess that worked out quite well for them in the long run.
but it had a tie game in, which makes it a cooler record
Still, we spared everyone two extra wins for Brady at least
i let them breathe, freely.
why not read my latest blog post, in which i waffle pretentiously and self-indulgently about going to watch the game at Wembley, Kenny Stills remembering he exists and Joe Philbin's asylum application being rejected
Glaring? You loved it.
*running away screaming from the pass rush
Like Wes Welker or Chris Hogan.
I think you are reading too much into the Ryan Tannehill practice story, as things do tend to get heated during practice sessions and players react out of frustration in the heat of the moment. I don't think 'we're all' expecting him to be one of those not very good quarterback based on the start to this season.
I share your uncertainty about having an NFL team in Britain. I would take your idea of having a second team in Germany further by (as I have said on here before) having an entire four team division based in Europe. These European teams would then have 11 games in Europe each season (8 home games and 3 division road games). It helps 'local' rivalries become established which is crucial for building support. It ensures that at least one of the teams gets to the playoffs each year so the European base remains relevant to the rest of the NFL. There is no way the NFL would go for it though.
*raises an eyebrow*

once again, haven't been able to watch. seems like Ryan's had a pretty awful game by the stats, with so much more of the game than the Redskins, but 0 TD, 2 INT, barely 50% completions.
a tie game, which isn't great, but I expected this to be a banana skin.
wouldn't matter if Bryant hadn't struck both uprights.
crying smiley face.
enjoyed all 3 of the OT finishes. Kirk Cousins walk-off pick 6 is about the only way i could enjoy Atlanta winning.
let's not talk about the Saints, eh
Probably torn ACL.
So glad I just traded away Todd Gurley too. Sigh.
He was my main reason for picking that game.
Everyone else knows Jay Cutler is useless, why doesn't he?
Considering we all thought this season had the potential to be a brutal 0-16 death march, Jay Cutler finding a way to make even more people hate him by being good at football is so much more fun.
Doug Martin was on my bench

you've written "Chiefs" and "Ravens", when presumably it should be some combination of "Raiders", "Browns" or "Bucs". Maybe "Bears". Next you'll be telling me the Seahawks are 2-3.
Strong New York presence this year.
The 5-yard QB sneaks are definitely helping his brand. He's got a really good steely look from under the helmet thing going on as well.
Hopefully having a week and a half to prepare will mean that Vick will have more than 4 different plays to run. He didn't have a bad game against Baltimore anyway. Bit disappointed that Shazier is out again and Martavis Bryant finished his suspension only to get hurt straight away.
Chargers' offense looks decent with Rivers, Allen and Woodhead all playing well but their offensive line is in a bit of a state and Pittsburgh has done a surprisingly good job in the pass rush over the first 4 games.
Dez Bryant could return at the same time.
