has anyone ever made a sourdough starter? I started mine about 3 days ago. Smells gross.
Had a great one on the go back home before I moved out on my lonesome. Never make bread now for some reason - going to get back into it.
Miscellaneous food note - goat's butter is fucking delicious
Day 3 and its bubbly and sour smelling!
Goats butter! How does that taste different?
I suppose anything I can just leave alone to make itself does sound up my street, just don't want to make a fetish out of bread. I don't need that in my life.
you have to feed it daily then you use that to make a loaf like normal
Suppose you can eat it eventually though. Still.
that suggests you make a loaf of bread every now and then?
it takes longer.
RIP old soury, your life was taken from us by the birth of my son. A life for a life.
Who was it??
Good luck being arsed making bread often enough to keep it alive.
and i've been having it in toasted bagels for lunch this week
it is good
that's all i got
Salmon is good shit. Smoked salmon like!
I love gravadlax.
Have you made some yourself?
Most supermarkets do a good one (Tesco finest range is good). it comes with a sachet of the dill mustard dressing (altohgh M&S sell this by the jar, as do ikea I think.)
then forgot about it in the back of the fridge, it went grey and my baskets went mouldy and I gave up
might start again though, it was v tasty
as it makes me slow and sluggish and gives me a bit of a sore tummy. I don't think humans (or indeed anyone) are really meant to eat it, which is a shame as it is the tastiest and most satisfying thing ever. I had a stonebaked pizza last night which was delicious and which has made me feel like a fucking sloth today.
Basically the same but with a lot more Pure spread in my life.
No noticeable health/weight reactions thus far. Perhaps ever so slightly more expensive if you're not just eating fruit and veg. Would recommend I suppose.
