I used to like watching the washing machine etc etc
My parent's shoe size was never something I thought about as a child or an adult
you might have tried them on
you might have borrowed some
you might have said "Mummy I know I'm size 3, what size are you", you know like a curious child full of questions and joy and wide eyed wonderment for the world.
Or you could have sat in front of the washing machine for a couple of hours.
He's got Podal Benjamin Button Syndrome.
As a baby he was born with size 11 feet but they get smaller every year until he'll end up with the tooties of a neo-nate. It's tragic and thankfully not hereditary.

I remember asking my dad what size shoes he had. I borrowed my mum's shoes a couple of times if I needed some smart ones for some event. As a kid, I'd have 3 pairs of trainers and 1 pair of school shoes.
