too much work
been working most nights and weekends teh last three or so weeks
not sleeping well because of it either
if you can, do. i remember being in your situation.
Is this a blip or indicative of what the job is like/will be like all the time?
i've been borderline overworked since i've been here. but thi sis the 2n absolutley mental deadlines out of my depth mega stress time
handing mu notice in in december i think
I hate it when work impinges on my life.
Trying to organise a meeting for 25 cuntbags for really early tomorrow morning before I'm in, and it's like herding cats. Just go where I cunting tell you, you knobs.
And I'm in excruciating facepain
Whats yr beef
been unemployed for a few weeks now. need a new job. hate job-hunting. running low on money.
what a life.
want to do mor eof that sort of stuff in th efuture
I believe it relieves tension and stress
few deadlines looming, people off sick
but I absolutely refuse to stay past 4:30 or work from home and am unfireable until at least Jan and beyond that what I do won't have that much of a bearing on whether my contract is extended or not....meh
If you keep meeting ridiculous demands the demands get more ridiculous
but it just kind of falls on deaf ears, 'we' seem to pitch ridiculous projects that we don't have any experience of to clients to get the work, but then it's just an absolute nightmare to get it done
Luckily i can push the work back onto the people that "won" the work as I have absolutely no idea what the requirements of the project are.
We've won a scheduled maintenance contract in Belgium, first meeting; "right i think i can fudge something with our current technology as you haven't priced in any development......First things first, what data does the client require and will it be in English or Flemish?"
"ermmmmmm, not sure...."
"Come back when you know that, i'm not wasting time specing development with no idea what the customer wants"
End of meeting, this was 3 weeks ago, I send an email to the person with the contact at the client an email every 2 days asking for an update. Not heard anything back
Might make them think a little about the folly of their actions.
