Presumably many dissers have this game and are caning it right now. Hmm?
So put dat shit in here yo
Think I'll go on Monday.
Trying to get a few levels up before taking on the griffin, although I imagine it'll be easier than I imagine
I've got shitloads to do in Novigrad but one of the side missions led to Skellige so I thought, "hey, why not?" And now I've got enough sidequests and monster contracts to last me until next Summer. At some point I'm gonna get bored and just plough through the main plot.
And there's some 10 hour DLC imminent? Who asked for that? Who the fuck has time for that?
Around the DiS 25th anniversary, aren't we?
I remember not so long ago getting really excited when developers talked about their maps being the biggest ever and how it'd take you x number of hours to cross it. Now, as soon as I got to Skellige, I thought, "FUCK OFF CD PROJEKT RED MAKE IT SMALLER."
but really enjoying this now, in pretty deep now; followed the story to Skellige. find I skip past most of the dialogue now, too much of it some time (specially in that Dandelion thread)
should I play Gwent? I've been avoiding it
If you're a massive penoid nerd like me and play loads of other card games, you might find it really shallow and boring.
And I bloody love gwent
I need one card to complete my deck and I can't remember which of the inn keepers in which of the towns I need to beat.
Really needs a mod which marks out which players you've gotten a card off.
Is it good then yeah?
The combat is a bit rubbish, imo, but if you go into it expecting a well-executed but pretty standard open world RPG thing where you explore places and do various quests for various people then you'll be fine.
The combat is shite and frustrating but the gameworld is unbelievable, the best I've encountered in gaming in terms of it feeling like a world that is living around you as opposed to you being at the centre of everything.
Currently trying to track down the dicking Baron's wife after finally hunting down his daughter, bloke is a knobhead
you bang the ginger and then head to Skellige and the dialogue choices with the witch lady are so obviously heading you into a tough decision
probably should've let you button mash to make the rooting more sporting!
but the black-haired lady is Geraldo's main squeeze in the books - a running joke is that he actually really likes being henpecked, and he spends most of the previous games trying to find her. Red is a romance introduced purely in the games. So the supposed tension lies in whether Gandalf's personality and goals have changed significantly over the time you've had control of him.
bought a new r9 390 specifically to play the Witcher.
New card wont work either.
And there's not many from the last 10 years I'd put up there with my favourites but TW3 has shot into at least the top 5 instantly (Dark Souls would be up there too). Not played an RPG so sprawling, compelling and consistent since Baldur's Gate 2 back in '00. Thought the DLC was even higher quality than the main game too.
