Someone sitting eating BBQ chicken wings just after getting up at 7:30am might think they're some free-thinking maverick, but really they're just behaving appallingly.
still doesn't mean you should only confine certain foods to certain times of day, just means you might not want to eat a huge meal (of whatever food) a couple of hours before bed
sounds smart, if anything
full roast with all the trimmings (potatoes, broccoli, Yorkshires, carrot and swede mash, stuffing)
Damn right I had a nightmare
After midday all food is fair game but it's a bit more restrictive in the morning.
You know you shouldn't be doing it. You know that everyone hates you for doing it. Yet you are too weak to resist.
Give me a good reason other than "it's just not the 'done' thing"
obvs that is not a good reason, it's a shit one
badly balanced meals through the day
hungry way before dinner
I'm more likely to be eating a sandwich before midday if i had a bowl of cereal than if i had a curry for breakfast.
I'm saying that the attitude that something like curry or beans on toast for breakfast is wrong because it's just wrong to eat those foods in the morning is also wrong
where curry is commonly eaten for breakfast that it is very very wrong to eat curry for breakfast
Obviously it's fine if that's part of the tradition and culture but if you're not a part of that culture then it's pretty offensive if you do it.
is one of life's biggest pleasures.
where we were staying was curry three times a day.
My Indian colleague cracked first about four days in: "But I just want to eat some cornflakes!"
Sixth form should have ended for you a long, long time ago.
after that you're fucked
I will never go to Kingston again meaning I will no longer care about your geographical opinion about it
smash the system!
Breakfast food at 9pm and dinner food at 10am
Think of us xo
Also it's really childish to eat like that
or are these things you normally offer at these sorts of times?
They're offered cause the people in charge don't listen to us.
you have a weak constitution and don't deserve that food in the first place. if you don't eat a specific food at any specific time of the day out of principle, then i applaud said principles but respectfully advise you to do something unpleasant to yourself.
You eat mostly healthy things (i.e. no cake or chocolate) in the morning not as a way to obey some arbitrary set of rules but because you want to ration that type of food.
It's not about when you are able to eat certain types of food but when you SHOULD eat them.
I don't know if there's a point in my post somewhere
I mean, that doesn't make it wrong as such, but it's enough reason not to do something. I could fashion an outfit made from cardboard, like a junk modelling project, and wear it to the shop without causing a breach of the peace of anything - but social convention dictates that clothes are better.
and have a curry at breakfast"
But I won't judge you if you do.
just remember that the jury voted unanimously in my favour.
naturally this kind of thing loses all meaning. usually have a full-on meal at 2 in the morning, cereal at 5 in the evening, supper in the morning etc.
reckon when i quit nights (not long now) i'm going to retain a certain devil-may-care approach to meal/time-of-day etiquette
eating a proper meal first thing in the morning (if you have the time) > eating a couple of slices of toast and a coffee. you're breaking an 8/9/10-hour fast, sort yourself out
counts as fasting
Ate it for breakfast Monday ~9am ish.
Fucking delicious. Felt satiated all day.
really weird how curry/pizza are seen as unacceptable breakfast foods while disgusting greasy fry-ups are actively encouraged.
