Is that not completely self-evident?
can be specified in a social media policy if the employer has one. A senior manager here aired the idea once that all posts on twitter should be prefixed by it lol.
re the commentary. It's just to make it clear they aren't the opinions of the company they work for.
all opinoins my own!
works at: self-employed blog owner
and think it's something you do on twitter I guess.
they haven't been got by the Illuminarti mind control. Or make you think they haven't...
And then there will be a bunch of muppets who do it because they think it's the thing you do.
Not unlike people putting "No copyright infringement intended" on YouTube uploads etc. Utterly pointless, but common enough that it gets assumed that it's what you're supposed to do.
really tickles me
a) Because you work for a high profile organisation and want to make it obvious. e.g. Plenty of people in the charity sector use social media and tweet about politics, but obviously their employers have to be politically neutral
b) You're an idiot, and have seen a) quite a lot and think it makes you sound important.
i used to write on mine things like "opinions exactly the same as my employer", thing is, it's ME look like a bellend how strange.
that's what i meant
Because the company I work for told me I had to.
Removed it a few months later and I'm still yet to get my employer sued for any of my outrageous opinions on football/the weather/Titus Andronicus.
