But also need to watch Man Utd vs Liverpool
at the aforementioned game
I mean, of course I'm not going to go, but that's hardly the point, is it?
probably gonna go to this
BEFORE they become popularist and mainstream.
WHO wants to be the sort of person to jump on a bandwagon WHEN its already rolling and certain to reach a particular situation.
Of course you may be the sort of person who only likes to bank on something when you know you're onto a winner, but that's not for me, nosiree, I prefer the more uncomfortable path.
(sorry.....bitterness caused by previous unpopularity and anger from others, towards my attitude towards ideas of refugees and artificial borders)
the number of people and vehemence of their condemnation contrasts so sharply with the popularist nature of this latest trend, that I hav problems welcoming it without suspicion, I should be glad...Our friend Mark has worked for decades trying to assist refugees in London, always been an issue, always been an uphill struggle.
Maybe it is a good thing that people can just have about turns based on a sad photo, but its troubling to me that people could not extrapolate words and text and the idea of refugees suffering previous to having a visual......surely the words '700 refugees drowned on one boat' should have been enough to move people? Surely any of the past stories of desperate people should have been enough to move people?
I'm baffled......perhaps that's the way the majority is moved though......perhaps we would be better off having photos of the politicians to elect in the photo booths rather than names?
this is exactly the kind of true believer/no homers club mentality that puts the majority of people off getting involved in direct action. And bear in mind that a big march like tomorrow's takes a lot of organisation if you want a big turnout, plus you have to apply for permission from the government to do it, sort out road closures, etc. It may look like it's just sprung up in response to That Photo but it hasn't.
I'm embarrassed for you
you love it
This might just be your textbook post.
Much better to donate the money you would have spent getting there and back to charity
