I went to dans le noir and hated it. I found everything tasted too overpowering.
Minus the visual aspect I found it heightened the taste sensation. but not in a good way- it was to much. for example, I love the taste of smoked salmon, but I also love looking at the fat, glistening jewelley pink flesh and contemplating how fresh and smoky and salty it is going to taste as it hits my tastebuds.
I'm going to say 90%
thought of this years ago when I had andoiulette (sp?), don't think I made a thread though.
but I thought your tongue just did salty, sour, bitter, sweet and umami and the rest of the taste of things is smell
