Especially Silky, but anyone really. What's it like?
it's always a new build village around the outskirts somewhere
And I visited most weekends, stayed for holidays etc.
It's literally the worst place I've ever been.
But I have noted your implied glowing recommendation and hope to visit there soon.
if I lived there I would probably end my life.
It's very sad and run down in places but there's good stuff that goes on there, community projects and stuff. Good people.
I wouldn't condemn it as "soulless". If I wanted to tag a place as "soulless" I'd probably be looking more towards the wealthier postcodes in the capital.
My experience of it is very much the 'front' and its surrounds. Not seen much of the rest of the town.
every other seaside town in Britain.
Morrissey had it right
depends what you're looking for out of life, I guess
it's really shit, bit bleak, and she's never even let me go on the pepsi max. Also, the tower is the most underwhelming 'landmark' ever
IT'S JUST STUCK ON TOP OF A BUILDING! FUCKING HELL
this is my schtick
just to ride the rollercoasters. i'll tell them you say hi
A Scottish guy on one of the stalls on the pier shouted at me for being "one of them posh cunts" on overhearing me speak.
It was a novel way of trying to attract my business, I'll give him that.
brilliant. a few weeks ago when i was walking around kensington on my way to the xylopwedding in my kilt an old fella shouted at me "where's yer troosers pal?". i laughed and he shouted it again. i didn't laugh as much the second time.
All paid for by DiS, would you believe.
good luck with that one
when I was a student. If you want an idea of what Blackpool would be like after a nuclear war, go to Morecambe. But I actually quite liked it. Nice people, great pubs.
it's pretty nice. Happy Mount Park!
but horrible if you're scared of normal people and normal things
hated the town so much that straight after the game I got back in the car and drove all the way back to Bristol, where I made last orders and couldn't have been happier to be home.
It was the worst place I've ever been.
HOWEVER, the club were lovely, nice stewards, pleasant staff etc, and the game was a belting 3-3 with a worldie from Dani Rodriguez.
