Was that guy wearing a shrug when he was in the crack den/church?
Well, is it?
was ok but it was the first one so there wasn't too much face eating action (there was some face eating action). I will be continuing to watch as there ain't much about at the moment.
You should watch the Strain (shit but good, Pines-style).
might see what the 2nd episode is up to, but it's not promising
it was just a meet the family set up episode.
and the ending was bizarrely acted
Didn't think this would be worth watching but just found out that Cliff Curtis is in it. Obviously I am going to watch every episode now even if it's shite. WEEKLY CLIFF CURTIS :D
he hasn't been eaten yet
Fear the Walking Dead is a spin off of the Walking Dead which SPOILER is a programme literally about Walking Dead aka SPOLIER Zombies which are in the hanit of eating the Walking Living aka SPOILER Cliff Curtis.
in terms of clothing.
Thought it was a bit too slow, but there was some nice foreshadowing of the zombies. Hopefully will pick up.
Agreed, bizarrely acted and scripted but really pulpy and creepy in parts. If you hate Walking Dead, obvs give it a wide berth, for the rest who aren't on the no fun bus, get on it. It's good stuff.
maybe they have to pace it but it seems really tame compared to previous depictions of zombie outbreaks. just not feeling it. apparently that kid was Randy from the Wire
Where she's walking to and round the house in converse.. Sounding like a horse :S
It's a bit shit isn't it
but there is zero element of possibility when it comes to the outcome of this pandemic. I mean, back in Zombi 2, its twist at the end SPOILER was to discover that the zombies weren't just on that island. Thing is, we know what's going to happen, know about these zombies, and know that that lady from Treme & Friday Night Lights really should have taken some of those canned goods for herself also.
There's only so much mileage you can get out of smugly knowing more than the characters on screen.
Bit of an odd choice anyway
I don't watch the original, but this doesn't seem to offer anything different, except showing a new part of life in Zombieland. Are they just doubling their output for the $$$, or is there actually some important story to tell?
we are the most ephemeral collection of atoms I'm afraid.
1/ showing a different part of the US - the original show takes places mainly in and around Atlanta (until midway through season 5), with no real clue as to what's going on elsewhere.
2/ it's showing the early days of the zombie plague, which the original show skipped over
3/ it's trying to make up for most of AMC's recent crop of shows being neither mega hits like the original Walking Dead or critical darlings like Mad Men or Breaking Bad
I like tWD if that helps.
I also like long walks in the countryside and curling up on the sofa with a bottle of red and that special robot someone.
but the criticisms are valid
it's completely ridiculous that they're still doing it after t-dog, new t-dog, new new t-dog and bob.
I did however find myself wishing it was an anthology (which, lets face it, are So Hot Right Now) series - that we could focus on these people for six episodes and next year get a series about some other people in another situation, and really explore this idea of a zombie-ravaged world.
because ultimately, the draw of this - that we're seeing society collapse in on itself in the face of an unimagined disaster - is going to disappear, and we'll be back to people running around rural areas doing horrible things to each other.
that it's gonna be really quite drawn out in terms of the collapse of society.
There's still a long way to fall really...
I'll watch it anyway, cos I just like Zombies.
imagine if it was like The Shield or something - an ensemble of people in authority roles, trying to cope with this disaster.
quite liked the mega vomiting though and the latino stereotypes
Comics and Show
But I'm kinda bored already. None of those characters seem remotely likeable.
Slept through a lot of it if that's an accurate indication of the excitement levels
Nice to see Americans who didn't know how to fire a gun though
Balonz, you watching series two of the strain?
don't know if I am well ahead of you.
Real dearth of programmes at the moment mean all we are watching is FtWD and Strain.
that Taylor River Depp boy is Stannis Baratheon's son and he was also that wee slag who was quizzed Slughorn on horcruxes.
I'm quite enjoying it and its "apoclaypse soon" atmosphere. Though what the fuck was that whole maze in the garden about and why did they keep going into it.
so many things they could do, and they go down the whole "THE MILITARY IS EEEEEEVIL" route, even though it makes very little sense. I've been hoping it was going to end with civilians looking like absolute twats in the face of soldiers just trying to protect them, but this week's has put paid to that.
for people to be arsed about a second series.
Stadium full of Zombies = Chekov's gun?
all a bit, yeah yeah
makes you wonder why there aren't more army types in the WD though with all their weapons, tanks, armoured camps etc you'd think there'd be loads of them
I get that the characters in the main show do pretty horrible things, but there's usually some level of justification for it, albeit usually that the things they do are to prevent worse things happening.
But in this, they just do a terrible thing based on some largely unsubstantiated belief, and with little regard for the consequences not just for the people they do it to, but to the much wider world they live in. All to 'save' that idiot junkie kid.
agree with guntrip though, haven't seen such despicable actions from ostensible 'good guys' since Jurassic Park 2
news to me! literally seems to be no interest in it
but this season is really shit so far
the latest ep in particular, thought Strand was some sort of genius, but he come across pretty stupid here
just plain stupid, and the characters have not developed in any positive way at all - gotten worse!
One of those bag and board DONT EVEN TOUCH IT nerds... and even I can't be arsed with this show.
The fucking acting man, it's so bad
