I reckon it'll be
which drops a pretty big spoiler on the ending and then says ("Don't be tempted to google for details and spoil yourself!")
so, er, if you care about that stuff, don't read the big grantland article on this
I would definitely have read it otherwise. Fuck you, Grantland!
"this show is a good show and you should watch it"
but that pissed me off.
Paul Haggis directing though.
funny that it looks so stylised compared to the natural look of the corner/wire/generation kill. the camera keeps moving places
I'M SHOWING OUT FOR A HERO TIL THE END OF THE NIGHT
they were also so far behind with Treme
(which I've still not seen the last season of for no apparent reason)
watched a few episodes of season 2 and then I stopped watching it completely. might give it another go at some point
but that steve zahn kid made me want to drown things
boring storylines but who cares about that
mentions a future show written with Ed Burns, summarised as...
"a “very careful treatment” of the CIA from 1945 to 2001."
OH MY GOD YES
All that back and forth. Alfred Molinas
it looks great and i enjoyed the near constant use of springsteen
I'm completely into it and Oscar Isaac is just incredible.
What a brilliant story and show.
i've been watching season 6 of Homicide this week though. dead good.
why aren't they doing what they did with True Detective and showing it in the early hours of the monday morning, straight after it's been shown on HBO in the states?
i can't be arsed waiting till they screen it at 9pm on the monday night so have taken to just streaming it
so it's all been shown there now
very engaging despite little happening
it's so watchable, despite being the sort of thing that should make a really interesting book rather than a TV show.
(also, all the Springsteen music <3)
no doubt it'll come around to fit into the overall better but now every time it goes to her parts it's always really jarring
(first couple of paragraphs have minor spoilers I guess?)
Wire - not boring at all
Gen Kill - not too boring
Treme - mind numbingly boring
This - so fucking boring
so fucking boring is less boring that mind numbingly boring.
SUBTHREAD. Boring but good:
Wolf Hall (book & telly)
it's been fun trying to explain it to people though ha. also glad I didn't look anything up on Wiki until after I'd finished the whole series!
too what he really looked like, and... :(
