scum, tbh. pretty sure i've made this exact thread before. hey ho
it's the stampeding - ie the noise - i have a problem with. puts me on edge sometimes
slow movement but fast ascension method of striding 2 steps at a time
I did one of those stupid Spartan things with no training other than doing the escalators on the tube two steps at a time every day and suffered less than my mates who had trained for it
Unless there's a fire or something
the toilet and would have to leg it to the bottom of the stairs because for some strange reason i was convinced slugs would slide their way out of the toilet (i imagined that they appeared once the flush ended)
I used to wait at the bottom of the stairs gripping on to the bannister waiting for the sound of the flush to stop
for maximal speed
I get a small pang of anxiety every time I take the stairs, up or down.
It's the idea, impossible to shake, that I'm being followed, and that something's about to grab my legs (going up) or my shoulder (going down).
Sorry if you've ever been within earshot.
kind of feel bad now i've got an apology
is a la Linda Blair
via the ceiling
but i like it cos i can always tell where everyone is in the house by the sound
i would hate to stomp though - so undignified.
See also leaping on/off pavements. Cute or nah?
Have to leap from higher up to make it worthwhile.
Might be OK if you are landing on a carpeted floor though.
