what is happening?
I have just eaten my 3rd pizza of 2015.
i made veggie burgers and sweet potato fries
bout to watch a 70s spy flick with robert redford
Tell him to fuck off then, I don't care any more.
That isn't enough pizza. I'm worried you might have a pizza deficiency.
As posted in the banal thread, this J Mascis/Primus clip is horrible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-dG3spB5J4
pizza deficiency by design. been dieting isn't it.
today is my birthday though so yay pizza.
ty : )
this whole thread is a thinly veiled rouse to extract birthday wishes
but having been to several ATPs i have already spent quite enough of my life hearing j mascis soloing
Is probably the most unnecessarily loud thing I've ever heard.
I saw them in the liquid rooms using the same back line they had at t in the park. so loud I couldnae walk right afterwards.
Realising that my brain couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from any more. It was just everywhere.
this seems really low to me.
my donkeys woke me up this morning. one of them is called cocoa but i don't know the names of the other two. everytime i see them i get this incredible urge to yell at them GET THE HELL OUT OF MY SWAMP
Except the Shrek reference.
enjoying yr donkey updates v much
pizza is so cheap here that it's difficult to justify NOT getting it it's such good value for money. hot chili beef pizza with added basil pesto DONT MIND IF I DO
Not long back in the flat after a day's golfing, have had a few beers and feeling pretty hazy.
I'm gonna have pizza for dinner, probably my 20th or so pizza of the year, can't be sure, but certainly more than 3.
How was Copenhagen?
was and is good. found a craft beer place so I'm sitting in the corner playing on my phone / fishing around for enough cash to get another round. it's no cheap LP
That it was gonna be yer b'day and we could have had a whip round.
Hope you're having a lovely b'day paisan! :)
getting properly angry about it. not really sure what to do with myself. there is nothing to do in my home town - both pubs are crap (friend's brother got beaten to a pulp outside one of them by a barman a few months back...), nothing else really open apart from Tesco Express and restaurants (already eaten) and hardly any mates live here anyway. at least I have a pub quiz to go to tomorrow evening.
people who live in cities; i'm sure there are some downsides to urban living but really, you have no idea how lucky you are. i'd happily give up fields and leisurely village life for actual stuff to do and super-fast internet capability. only a year to go... (and if I even get a journalism job then I'll probably end up in another fucking village >:( )
what do you have to wait a year for?
I'm doing it full time at home but won't be ready to take exams until next spring, so won't be able to get a journo job until I've taken/passed them all.
Pretty full now, was quite nice though.
Haven't left the house today actually, been working from home and just been sat in front of the computer all day. I've stopped working for the day now and am watching SATC in my room (which by default means on my bed as my room is tiny).
Apparently next week I'm gonna start doing two days a week for my work placement rather than one – which I think is pretty good, as I'll feel more in the loop and more a part of everything that's happening. It's a really nice environment and everything as well.
Meanwhile, japes my man, tell us more about your birthday! What have you done, what have you eaten (other than a well deserved pizza), have you gotten any cool presents, etc?????
I'm still in copenhagen. went to the louisiana museum (good) did a canal tour (wet) climbed to the outside of the our savior church and was shitting it too much to get to the top (high) then had a pizza outside on my own in the rain. happy birthday japes.
Any celebrations planned for the weekend?
yeah, going out for a meal and that once I'm back
Don't know how I've managed that.
Drinking stout, learning Laura Marling and Nick Cave songs on bass to play with my friend and then heading to a jazz gig devoted to the work of Wes Montgomery.
Good Wednesday night I think.
How was your golfing excursion?
But it was a glorious sunny day and the company was good. Sure beats a day in the fucking office.
You've got it all worked out Lopes.
laura marling songs sound like they'd be deceptively difficult to learn. have never tried though so idk.
Alternate tunings, slightly irregular timing. Going to be watching her like a hawk for that song.
Learning 'Oh My Lover' by PJ Harvey too. That is a very fun song to play on bass.
had pan fried cod and mashy peas (roughly mashed potatoes, broccoli and peas with mint sauce). Great stuff.
sounds good. would eat.
It Follows has given me some right shakes. I can confirm, though, that the Roxy on Borough High Street is a great place to watch a film. £4. Outstanding.
it follows was great. can't think of any better films I've seen this year.
Body horror makes me squirm, and I can't stomach torture films - Wolf Creek made me feel really ill for the two minutes I saw - but a great curse/ghost story gets me every time. Nothing horrific in that, was there? Just unbearably tense. The guy on the table in front of me, well. If he didn't have his hands over his eyes he had his head in his girlfriend's shoulder.
For worst date movie ever.
and now I can't eat crisps or smile. Argh
does that cause problems?
I was kinda nearly fucked anyway. Serves me right for being a Life of Riley cunt.
living the dream
I'm sure I used to exist
Ate some spaghetti, watched some Always Sunny, watched some Monty Python, now watching some Stewart Lee and preparing [REDACTED]
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAPES and joey essex (wow that's the best i could find)
and Andi Peters too
& robert florence
great bunch o' lads
my cover's been blown
I'm not into this.
it upsets me greatly
but thought it was just me being useless with my settings. Hate it.
a sketch he'd done of me in the pub
tempted to upgrade.
but if the software I need for work doesn't work properly I'll be in all sorts of bother. might do it anyway because shiny new thing...

a cup of tea with quite a lot of honey in it. But it's exactly not *too* much honey so that it gets undrinkable or anything. Just quite a lot, and quite nice. What an achievement! So proud of myself.
I also ate a peach, but once I'd started eating it I realised I had to eat the rest of it whilst standing above the sink cause it was super runny. So, so good though.
what am I missing?
and i literally don't know what to do with myself half the time.
and then being tired all day
