Here's a trailer:
and destroy all the ones that already exist.
Best of the lot
But Quantum of Solace was lousy and though I liked Skyfall it did have that horribly misjudged shower scene.
Lots to love about Skyfall, esp. loved Javier Bardem's camp psycho
I liked the new Q too. It's an enjoyable film (and I'm not usually a Bond film), I just found that bit left a really sour taste.
Plus that was never Temple station in the one scene on the train!
But Skyfall is just The Dark Knight reskinned. Same plot, same pacing, same outcome.
I mean there are similarities but the detail is very different and the outcome is too, when you consider how the Joker ends up compared to Bardem, etc.
and watch Moonraker
But Never Say Never Again was on TV the other night and there's a very good reason why it is rarely shown on TV and why it gets pretty much universally panned....
yes, it is awful. However, I think Connery was very much aware of how bad it was and was actually sending up the whole Roger Moore Bond persona and the way the films had degenerated into camp cash making monstrosities.
I'm pretty sure Kim Basinger wasn't in on the joke though
She is absolutely dreadful in it
I didn't get through it - it's got that stupid game where the loser gets shocked for getting hit in it??
certainly more than thunderball of which it is largely a remake.
it's probably better than the moore films of the same period.
but yeah it is rubs.
Your classic modern Bond, I guess. I'm sure I'll enjoy it and forget it soon after.
doors and corners 'peow, peowing'
I am going to see it on Monday too.
Seeing at the o2 superscreen. Going to buy a bottle of prosecco and take the Thames Clipper there just like Bond would. Might get dinner at Harvester, also just like Bond.
I have no idea where we're seeing it. It's meant to be a surprise, but ho ho ho I know!!!!!!!!!!!!
I reckon Peckhamplex will be fine though (and only five quid as ever). Really looking forward to this, second only to Star Wars which I've already booked for like a total nerd.
Might watch Quantum of Solace again for the first time since release this weekend. It's due a reassessment, though I'm sure it'll still be Skyfall > Casino Royale >>>>>>> QoS
more an Epilogue for Casino Royale with a shit bad guy and no real script.
Looks lovely and has its moments but it just doesn't have a focus or point. Reminds me of a less good License to Kill in some respects; basically just Bond going on the warpath.
And exclaiming 'Shit me!', and thinking that the rest of the film would be intense/great.
I was definitely wrong.
