Look how happy these two are!
Pretty impressive to have raised £300k for this, really.
do you love warmth? have mp3s ruined the world? want to draw more attention to yourself? well then you absolutely must have this upright vinyl gimmick or be lamesauce 4eva.
It just looks really weird. I bet it would skip all over the place and you would bump into it really easily.
and how drunk one is.
It's the way they made those turntables that could play both sides of a record without you having to flip over:
This just reeks of bullshit.
i mean, it's clever since I don't understand how they've managed that at all but think i'm alright with my normal turntable cheers
Do you marvel at how a bicycle travels on two vertical discs too?
to the stereo using bluetooth. black magic that stuff
mainly because the whole point espoused in the video is that you WATCH the fucking thing turning and those two are sitting behind their 'amazing' fucking MDF record player.
why are you hating on that nice young couple?
listening to music together while laughing at a record sleeve while at their window behind them Theo is literally screaming at them to watch the record spinning but their windows are so thickly glazed no sound is coming through
But that's like the first thing the kickstarter video says. It only exists as an aesthetic concept so I find it amusing they've got pictures of people using one like it's no biggie to try to sell it.
I think that's quite common.
Are you ok?
It's a common piece of marketing silliness, yeah.
The picture on the front of that record sleeve is hilarious
I just made the mistake of watching Star Trek Into Darkness last night and there's a residue of resentment.
But also, vertical turntables have existed for 30-odd years so it's a bit much to see some hipster fuckhead acting like it's revolutionary.
you're on fire today
the tiny little speakers are front moutned on it as well, so you need to sit dead in front of it
how you adjust the tracking weight
& how it copes with warped records
no lid either means some interference in the sound coming from the contact point between the stylus & the vinyl (my record player is supposed to be played with the lid closed)
plus that says massive static magnet to me
I mean it's surprisingly loud just the unamplified needle on record noise.
