Never been to either.
It's fucking horrendous.
the isle of wight is horrendous
never heard of the range.
heard of but never been to dunelm mill.
fine as in just ok or fine as in fine dining
not even sure they do food???
you can buy plates though.
anyway. you should go to dunelm mill. the steak is incredible!
Dunelm has a café
I know which I prefer
meatballs then cake
went to IKEA in by brief phase as a vegetarian. Wouldn't recommend this tbh
bet ikea cafes would do really well if they ditched all the cheapo flat pack shite and started opening up food only places in city centres
Makes you buy things you never even realised that you wanted, like big bags of t-lights: things that seem really useful but you never use.
And you can't leave without buying a hot dog. Ever
I live in Dunelm Mill blackspot. Croydon or Basingstoke.
fuck that though, obvs, Wilko will do
that shares a building with a wickes
home on the range
and he's really good.
Soundsw like one of those giant stores in America which still wishes it was the war of independance. Went to Dunelm mill in ilkeston once - felt like I walked into Murder She wrote
theres a dunelm in north shields, next to the big tesco, and a the range where no frills used to be in benton, next to where the wimpy and superbowl used to be.
but ended up ordering from Wickes.
it is not about that. (plus I think I have done that before). This is about large out of town shops.
what do you mean 'been to a screwfix'
isn't screwfix a catalogue
it's a shop (and a catalogue).
Wilco is my go-to shop for housewares though
never been in. i did go into it's previous incarnation, a furniture warehouse-y place.
(conducted by Putin)
say what you want about the man but he knows how to work an orchestra
he's been putin it about
where would you go to buy a pepper mill?
was going to say there's no wilko's in scotland but apparently there are and I've just never seen one
Probably a supermarket or maybe a Robert Dyas or Wilks. Fancy one? John Lewis or Debenhams or something.
fancier than supermarket, less fancy than lewisisses
where would you go to buy whittling tools?
used all of the shortcuts. the gateshead one is being re-done upstairs at the minute so there's an extra, temporary shortcut - you can cut straight through from kitchenware (first department on the first floor) to plants/the escalators to the tills, incredible. barely anyone there bar people queuing for food and the food kiosk at the end
you didn't even buy anything the last time you went!
The kit they sell is never quite as good as you'd get from a specialist shop
in a back street of Pinxton (Notts/Derbys border): exotic pet warehouse.
They sell snakes, spiders, lizards, fish: all sizes, colours and flavours. There is a 4ft long catfish in a big fuck-off tank that eats a trout every few hours.
Better than the reptile house at Twycross Zoo.
can;'t remember what it is called but it is TKMAXXXXX but just for home stuff. Didn't buy anything.
There is also Cargo but that is an in towner.
never seen one that isn't within the same building as tk maxx
(also had a Next Home or some shit like that)
TKMaXXXX: Fury Road
advertising opportunity: I'm picturing phil collins pointing to his cap and shirt
"I'm talking: home. sense."
presume I haven't missed much
