Erm, well, sort of!
So is it digital recordings of vinyl records ready to stream?
What a time to be alive.
they send you records, you send them back. However, the compaby, vnyl, had missed a key piece of US law that prohibits the loan of phonographic recordings except by non-profits such as libraries, meaning their business model was illegal. Half-arsed fuckery ensues.
It'd shit Neil Young's Pono thing right up.
they send you the vinyl; you listen; you send it back. $24 per month for three records (or fewer records if you don't send them back).
However, they select what you listen to. So it's like a DVD rental company managed by a control-freak film bore.
And as expensive than buying three records.
*"as" not "than"
where they give you access to one film at a time or something, so it's "curated". Hmm.
i love mubi.
30 films at a time
spotify but for dogs
I would definitely rent a dog.
drowned in sound but with a functioning message board
I'd be interested to see what's in the emo section
not just changing the business model without actually telling anyone, but sending out bargain bin tat too (although I guess there's no way the new model would be affordable with new vinyl).
