Places where you start or take a break in your travel.
Places where you specifically watch and listen to things.
I wonder if the same applies to places outside the capital, like Kingston perhaps?
in Kingston they still barter using salt and/or livestock.
Sounds very primitve out there. Can you confirm that the salt at least resides within caramel?
the only sweetness they have tasted is sucking the flowers on honeysuckle. They like to salt their lips beforehand. In Norbiton the situation is considerably worse.
Although at least they know no better! We can only pray that the Norbitonies will one day refrain from cudgelling their children to sleep each night.
Do the people that work in the shops in the airport have any idea what the prices are every place else in the world?
"Yeah, $14 a tuna sandwich. We think that's fair."
and then we'll see if he blames it on the creepy PC brigade again.
Last time I was there it was about EUR30 just for a beer. Silly money.
Beautiful city but stuff that
apart from ones with M&Ss attached. Their prices in comparison are quite reasonable.
food is 3 times the cost and not as good quality. Stupidly cheap in the south, London prices in the north
(you watch the telly and listen for boarding gate announcments)
in e.g. Weimar Germany
I've been to all the capital cities and Oslo was the most expensive. I paid £8 for a pint back in 2007.
it was noticeable that the logistics of being a small island meant that supermarket prices made no sense. They'd charge the same for 2 litres of really quite nice local wine as a box of frozen Farmfoods hoof and eyelid burgers. I drank a lot.
