Anyone want 8 beers for £7?
I had £6 credit so I only paid £1.
Going to a Fourpure summer beer / OG Magazine issue launch tomorrow, cos that's how I roll.
Still works out pretty cheap?
But worth noting it exc. postage.
I'm gonna walk home and decide whether I want them or not.
it appears you buy the Groupon, then you have to go onto Beer52 and order a bloody GIFT CARD (obv you send this to yourself) using the Groupon code
I imagine they'll be here next week
literally took me 2 minutes from getting the groupon voucher
I imagine when the gift card arrived it will take me around 1 minute to redeem it
obviously you have problems using the internet or computers. I feel bad for you son.
but fair enough if anything other than moaning about how much "hassle" something is is too much effort for you
enjoy your Spennos beers at Reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Delivery is free for Gift Box, for ongoing boxes it will charged as standard at £2.99
Christ, you people
or 15 brandies again. whatever.
Anyone had it before? Is it nice?
nbd, but if it's cheap its cheap
That beer 52 place was doing a free case offer to Camra members that I completely forgot to tell you guys about.
Thing is, you dont need to have a camra membership, just the link that they put in the last newspaper. Problem is, I'm not at home so cant tell you all!
it's very easy if you're organised
i think i might be overcharged
oh beery me
what a load of shite
That's not proper drinking anyway is it
No mid-week beers this week, birthday weekend was too heavy and I need to stop putting on weight. However I have some nice ones from Hop Burns & Black saved up for the weekend! (my family went for lunch in East Dulwich for my birthday and my nan gave me £20 to spend on beer :D)
It was REALLY good but I was so hungover that I didn't really enjoy it. Family all loved it though so that's good. My dad would've been happy to just bowl after bowl of edamame beans I think ha.
looks well nice
did I tell you I went to Bossman Wines the other week? Good name, beer selection not up to Hop Burns & Black's standard though sadly. Trying to remember what I bought... they're all to obscure to remember except for the Brooklyn Sorachi Ace, which I had on Sunday night, which was nice but a bit too dopplebock tasting for me (think that's the right description for what I mean...)
and the two on the left are some of the best session beers i've come across in a long time. Was averaging 8/10 a sitting for three days in a row while on holibobs
if brewdog set up in NC they'd be burned to the ground by baptists
please set up in NC
I didn't have a groupon account either, so if you'd referred me you coulda got the £6 voucher (I only found out about this after I'd ordered).
or just log in? I'll refer you Niki so long as I don't get trapped in some GroupOn subscription ha.
you get from groupon
you have to do postal gift card fwiw
so if someone wants to refer me...
On this page (https://www.beer52.com/gift) I just clicked on the one-off case option (1 month) and don't appear to have created an account or subscription that I'll need to cancel.
What did you go for, the card by post/email?
the voucher isn't valid any other way
Yeah, now I remember it didn't work on that.
Still don't appear to have subscribed to anything that might need cancelling in the future though?
you might have to create some kind of account where the first box is free? dunno tho. these things are well simple to cancel in any case
i thought the card referred to was just a fathers day card that came with the fucking box of beer i was trying to buy. complete fucking palaver
Then use the code I get in the post to go to beer52 and subscribe to something where I get the first case for free?
What a palaver. THnaks for nothing pniks.
it's a good deal if you can navigate this which I was able to no with no issues
guys we're all fully independent adults right? this is easy stuff
tbf it does say this on the groupon site, in the main body of the page
but then it doesnt say it in the T&Cs on the side, and is stupidly confusing and should have the information in one place and consistent
1 minute to do the order
2 mins to order the gift card via the beer52 website
much easier than going to a shop to buy beer and then carry back
and then when you get the giftcard you order it online and wait for the beer?
that's what I said
I imagine it'll take roughly 1 minute to order once I have the gift card
who cares tho, nice beer!!
obv grabbing some aldi slosh on the way home
Took 2 minutes to sort out when it came, plus I'm getting another 3 bottles FREE.
Did you all manage it, you massive babies?
added beers from Freedom, Harviestoun and a few others. Interesting looking stuff.
and claimed it, so should get my beer in about a week. got the two extra free bottles too, and will cancel my account on receipt
quite unbelievable amount of arsefaff, but they've refunded by cock up non-voucher order fine now. beer better not be shite
sending my gift card direct to the beer52 HQ, I have tried telling them this but they are having none of it, I know your heart was in the right place but you have kinda cost me some money here
4 for £2.79, 4.8%. I have drunk it for a while (before it was cool) and only realised during an advert that it is meant to be a cheap Stella knock off. Standard pissy lager, but not 4% pissy, nice for midweek.
Otherwise it is the old favourite of 4 cans of Polish lager for £4. Seems to be a nationwide standard - mix and match as well.
It's alright, yeah? Nice to have one in the sun?
Well it is £1.70 or something in Tesco or 4 for £6. Well if you find the cardboard carry cases they are £4.99 (for a 4 pack). Or 2 for £8 which is one shit per bottle.
However they did not have them in the massive Tesco only the fucking ginormous one.
You must apply to me for a token to be able to be able to start the process of getting them.
Not Blue Moon though.
ridiculous selection, very very pleased
others have nice labels though
there's two Spanish beers, a Japanese, and a Belgian dubbel.
Thanks for this I ordered last night.
I was also looking at Honestbrew last night to get a trial box. I didn't order but left it in my basket, a few hours a later I got an email offering it half price.
£9 for 6 beers, I'll still stick to your offer as its better, but I may take advantage of this another month.
very worth it
this deal is GREAT)
but as lots of people on here seem to have problems with internet skills they won't be getting nice beer for little money
is about 3-4 miles away and I am weak and can't carry 10 bottles back on my own via public transport, if I cycle I just know they'd break, plus, it'd be about £3.50 per beer, this way it is cheaper and I don't have to carry them and EVERYONE WINS)
I emailed this to a few people at work too, and the first two to reply said that it sounds a lot of hassle. Jesus, and these are so called "techies" too.
Of course it is a hassle. No one is saying it is impossible. It's just a lot of effort to save a few pence.
I'd estimate at a local "craft" beer place these would cost ~£3.50 each.
Making the "value" £35 (you get some freebies in the box too)
I paid £3.99 for all these beers, most other folk paid a tenner, so that's a lot of savings.
and we can draw a line under this whole sorry episode.
YOU'VE NOT HEARD THE END OF THIS!!!!!!!!!
To be fair I've been looking into signing up to one of these companies for a while, and doing a group thing at work.
It's a very good offer, and literally took about 2 minutes last night, I'd imagine it will take a similar amount of time to do once I receive the voucher.
and buying some nice beers in a simple transaction that means i can take the beers away with me immediately and enjoy them
a) paying lots of money
b) carrying them home
is a thing of wonder
AND WE'RE HAVING WORK DRINKS IN THE OFFICE THIS AFTERNOON
SO IM GOING TO LOOK LIKE A PRICK FOR NOT SHARING THEM WITH EVERYONE
thanks a LOT nikki
looks like it's all worked out ok otherwise
that would be like £15 for 8, not that much worse than the original deal
50% worse than the original deal?
still much cheaper than from an offie
brewdog dead pony
la pirata viakrucis
eviltwin hipster ale
eviltwin low life
blending room atom chamomile
buxton far skyline
The beers turned up today. One bottle was smashed and saturated the box, but everything else seems fine.
I'm not sure I can be bothered getting a replacement considering the offer.
Not that I had any intention of carrying on anyway, but as the bottles are only 330ml instead of 500ml, it makes the standard price look worse than first thought.
still didn't bother with the deal though
hoping to have my first Spoons Snake Dog IPA, still yet to actually see one anywhere.
Stancill No. 7
Something very pale and light - NZ hops I think
Kelham Island Easy Rider
was like that, pay day. sun's oot. tap's aff. cheeky brew
Beer Geek Vanilla Shake
Beer Geek Dessert
Peter, Pale and Mary
Orange Yuzu Glad I Said Porter
Only had Stateside IPA and Peter, Pale and Mary so far. Both real nice. Very excited to try the Beer Geek ones. Anyone tried any of these?
