Munchy Box. How much of a thing is this?
huh. so they're not a thing everywhere?
So I can only assume they didn't exist before 2002. Must be.
Existed in the 90s in inverclyde! Babshoptastic.
somone's linked to the "Scottish Cuisine" article.
"the only green leaf vegetable the Scots consume is tobacco"
have never indulged. hadn't ever heard of 'em before moving to the motherland, though.
side note: deep-fried pizza is lush, though. even if you can feel the days being ticked off your life expectancy. apparently the cheap frozen pizzas are 'best' cos they soak up more fat.
tangentially related: will have been in glasgow for ten years on th 27th of this month.
addendum: the price of chips in glasgow is scandalous (for relatively unimpressively sized portions, too). even in nearby places like, say, motherwell, the damage is reasonable. i blame blue lagoon, or sutin. whatever the reason, chips are a crazy price here and no mistaking.
in lanarkshire too, sign of a good munchy box is when they don't try and fob you off by loading up on chips
£6 - £10
but not usually more than a tenner
