It's a fave troll but I've genuinely got no idea why it's so effective
Wonky econonmics, shooting bears from a helicopter nationalist macho fuckwits
with equal effect
neolib in the sheets.
that just gets people riled
But not enough to overlook the rest of their views.
reminds people of neoprene
neocons hate this one weird trick
Not convinced it's a thing!
you *are* a little scamp for trying to make people hate you with extreme prejudice on the boards
and then seeing the way you used it in that thread, against those two posters in particular, it made you come across as petty and snide and you know I can't resist pointing out to people when they are coming across as jealous eejits *blos kiss* ;)
Sorry :/ I'm maybe picking it up wrong (which is entirely poss, in which case apologies), but you seem to see it as sport to poke fun at, and attempt to get a rsie out of, certain people for being a bit too slick for their own good (in your eyes) and I dunno, it's a bit unnecessary.
back in 1999, and it was the main plank of the Gingritch-led GOP campaign against Clinton before that.
You don't hear it as much as you did then, as neo-liberal economic approaches are seen as more damaging now.
and otherwise are informed on the state of the world in buzzfeed articles.
sort of a gentrified rightism
Vaulting traditional value conservatives into full on Randian nightmares
But with a fondness for family units
I'm still not sure what it is thought really, only that it's not a nice thing to call people one.
It's basically right-wingers who believe in family values and hawkish/statist methods of implementing their beliefs upon the rest of the world.
doesn't sound too bad to me now ;)
could be wrong though
pissy about it in this thread.
don't get too Rand-y
Typically devestatingly deployed against someone who couldn't care less.
Neoliberal definitely pisses me off.
is this just "CiS" all over again?
It's highly imperialist, undemocratic, corrupt and destructive. But I'll probably be pining for it once we leave the EU :/
neoliberals are merely giggling watching people starve to death, whereas neocons are actually sexually aroused by it?
Like the term ‘neo-nazi’ implies that the Nazis were a big deal once, but are a relic now. Few people want to be thought of as a relic, I suppose.
Similarly, I’ve always thought that the term ‘late capitalism’ was unduly optimistic. In some ways, it seems as though capitalism is just hitting it’s stride.
