Would need to go down about 25 metres first though
but my tree is on a roof.
so I would have to take a 30m detour to touch the tree. Also climb a small fence.
I would have to invade the headquarters of the Labour Party.
I could touch them fairly easily, no fences or anything, just a fairly busy road to cross.
You win this round, 'lonz.
there is one about 150m away.
However, I suspect there are closer ones, hidden from public (visual) consumption.
How fast could you touch a tree from where you are now?
I reckon it would take me three minutes, possibly quicker if I got lucky with the lift.
pretty much available whenever you need one.
In the lounge, there's a tree outside the window.
Not sure I could reach if I just opened the window, so they 30 seconds if you go outside.
Leg it down the stairs and cross the road
to smash through the sliding door like Bruce Willis right?
Ground floor working really pays off in situations like this.
70 seconds (although I was lucky with the lift). 45 seconds if a shrub that would turn into a tree if it was allowed to counts.
if it's a hostage situation, I could get through the window into the neighbours garden and touch their wee tree: 45 secs
realistically, I'd have to take the stairs, out the main door, big tree: 2 mins
Probably like a ten minute walk?
that get planted in footpaths, about 40 metres I think.
7 metres as the crow flies
about 12 metres touching distance
(never seen a lime growing on it mind)
if our ground floor windows opened properly I could be touching bark in a matter of seconds.
if it stops being so overcast
