What's you favourite croissant?
With some fresh orange juice. And maybe a bit of jam too. Yum.
but I couldn't eat them every morning.
Could quite easily eat nice buttery croissants accompanied by coffee for breakfast every day from now until I die.
not microwaved though
mostly eat plain but almond is my fave
my bf was getting IBS type symptoms, went to the docs for blood tests and stool tests and what not.
Few weeks later, we were out and he got a croissant and asked if i wanted one, and I said no cos I'd had one at work yesterday and he said 'huh, I have one every day' I was like wtf, you can't eat that for breakfast everyday! no one does that, it's a treat when you're on holiday ffs. He stopped and the IBS stuff went away shortly after!
The croissants I make have 25g of butter in each one. That should be enough to bring a one-a-day policy into question.
And a chocolate croissant is just a pain au chocolat that someone's made wrong.
But right about the other thing.
That means overall I feel neutral towards your post.
(I'm aiming for two wins today)
Are you just being funny about language or are you saying there's a distinct thing called a 'chocolate croissant' that isn't a pain au chocolat? Have I been trolled here?
But, you know, fundamentally if Colin's saying yay to Pain au Chocolat then he likes chocolate croissants.
i do like a good chocolate one, but so often the chocolate does pass my rigorous standards. Almond ones are nice. but sometimes very VERY sickly.
We were passing through Kingston recently, whilst the bagel shop in the station was closing. We drunkenly started dancing to the music the chap closing up was blasting out. Noticing us, he gave a a couple of almond croissants and a couple of bagels. Re-baked them for breakfast and my word, it was like eating a slab of marzipan.
Gonna get something good to read and sit there for a few hours then go pick up my bf who is moving here today......yun
They don't deliver on their promises. Too much air, not enough substance. The U2 of the breakfast buffet
shit croissants mate!
is an enormous faff, and requires you to be near the kitchen for most of a day.
But homemade croissants are amazingly delicious.
that sells foccacia with ham and artichoke and croissants in the morning.
It was so nice, it had all this crust round the edge that tasted like the most delicious shortbread.
I had a slice of foccacia too (don't judge me) and the base was unbelievable
Well FUCK THAT. :(
Just eat bread for breakfast
can't believe I thised a Theo joke
and yet I almost always go for plain or chocolate.
No idea why.
You missed off ones with cheese and ham, which aren't really worth bothering with unless you're super hungry, but they are nice as a rare treat outside of the plain/almond cycle.
disgusting cheese and bacon croissant from delice de france normally sorts me out.
is the chocolate should really be melty but it's very hard to warm them to that state without ruining the outside.
In theory the best, in practice usually a compromise.
Chocolate is easily the best
chocolate shouldn't even be a thing
Almond ones are too cloying
That fucker + hangover = mmmmm, yeah.
Only when in France though, feels wrong anywhere else.
