but he reminds me of Morientes a bit.
that was fun
hope someone got fired for that blunder
They were a bit shit. But bus parking is so boring.
Gonna need a bigger bus for the final lads.
two up front for the whole game, taking a forward off and replacing him with another forward.
Real were just a bit rubbish in both matches.
A big red bus that delays everyone from the first minute.
(In this very post)
Ronaldo to Palace
2 and a half months of Bale to United rumours with absolutely no new content on a day to day basis. Newspaper articles based on a slight readjustment in the Sky Bet odds.
Sources close to littlebirds say that this is a strong possibility
Alexandra Palace is definitely a Celtic area
IDIOT DICKHEAD LONDONDER
that's just lovely
but Pogba's not worth anywhere near the money that's being talked about.
He'd be a freak of nature if he was doing it every week at 22 years old.
that I reckon Pogba's absolutely nailed on for Madrid if Juventus win the final, but if they don't he could well go elsewhere/stay at Juve until his hype level tips breaking point.
Never seen him play much, but he looked knackered. Yet, at one point he just charged forward and the Real Madrid defence shit themselves.
Other than that, he was relatively tidy and did a mostly defensive job last night.
should keep that (fake) Italy kit for the psychology of the Final. It MUST help.
Dunno why, just feels right. Hold 'em off 1st half and Tevez rising to the occasion for a 1-0 Juve win triggering another agent driven cash spinning move.
really I do, but they're going to get Thomas Mullered
Suarez bites in big games.
That mix of Evra and Chiellini coupled with the (fake) Italy kit will see him lose it. 10 man Barcelona are beatable 1-0.
I wonder what the odds are on lighting biting twice.
can see Evra and Chiellini sandwiching the cunt but
but falls apart when real pressure is applied. Mark Messi with 8 men. 1-0 Juve.
also Barca are all on magic medicine
will get a Juve player sent off before half time
Juve park the bus and win on penalties.
Haven't you seen his record vs. Norwich!?
that's sort of a compliment?
Kind've outcome that I usually revel in, and there was tension in the level of competition and the stakes being so high, but objectively just thought it was a pretty turgid game.
Madrid were shite at doing anything to win the game at 1-1 - Modric-less they look like a genuinely ordinary side, and Ronaldo covers so much less ground and makes stuff happen so little these days, that he looks actually looks impotent without decent service. He's pretty much just an (extremely effective) number 9 these days - and Juventus were really poor for most of the game but didn't need to be great, going through by virtue of simply staying in the tie and capitalising on some terrible defending.
On paper that Juve midfield is amazing but thought Pirlo was pretty useless in both legs, Vidal didn't repeat his first leg performance, and Pogba didn't look half as exciting as he should. Maybe the heat was the reason but thought it was just sterile for such a big game.
These semis have followed a similar template to last few years - three "elite" clubs (pretty much always Bayern, Barca, Madrid but Chelsea last year) - but always one relatively unfancied team causing an 'upset' - Dortmund, Atletico, less so Di Matteo's Chelsea but still - obvs barring the latter those were brilliant sides. And none of the drama of Atletico being brilliant at Stamford Bridge, Lewandowski tearing Madrid apart, or the relentless bus-parking/Torres goal of 2012 Chelsea. They just kind of... did enough.
I just don't see Juventus on Dortmund or Atletico's level though - don't think they're necessarily any better than their last few years, they've just had a relatively fortunate route to the final, including a poor Madrid. Said yesterday they should prove more of a test in the final than either of the two Man Utd teams but not sure if that's true, especially 2009 Ferdinand-Vidic/Ronaldo-Rooney-Tevez.
Can't see the final changing the trend of the favourite winning, as has been the case past couple of years. Might be a similar game to the Italy-Spain in 2012.
Quite like that Barcelona have beaten the Dutch, English, French and German champions en route to the final and will be playing the Italian champions - old-style european cup feel to it. And it's good that this will be an unrepeated match up.
Think Bayern - Barcelona would've been the best final really. not too fussed about a Clasico final as it feels inevitable at this point and would be better with both at the top of their game; interesting to see what Zidane does to Madrid next season
long post that doesn't really say anything sorry
remember when PSG beat Chelsea? that was good
he'll be pleased with that: https://twitter.com/alanshearer/status/598479694766407680
Two work experience kids are playing Blackpool vs Huddersfield Town on FIFA to decide who gets the three points from our abandoned game.
Bizarre. Need a point to stay up on the last day of the season? On the pitch!
but there's no good reasons to root for Juventus really, are there? Bunch of crooks who've bribed their way to a million titles.
Hope Barca smash them to bits (*Neymar and Messi fraud notwithstanding)
I'm firmly in the Barca camp for now. They get extra points for Pirlo but that's about it.
Some likeable players
Swangsong for Pirlo and Buffon
Would be good for European football
Will annoy meths
Need I go on?
Juve have always been my Italian team if you like ever since i first became aware of Platini and then Baggio.
I appreciate there dealing might have been somewhat underhand over the years, but hey i'm a Rangers fan so can let that slide. :)
Been watching buffon and pirlo since forever and have always been a big fan of both and would like them to sign out their illustrious careers with the champions league.
That said, i don't see them beating barca.
Oh and they do have nice shirts/strips!
Black and white stripes is what the wear in prisons mate. Probably where a few of them will end up anyway.
For Real vs Juve it's not exactly obvious to choose between the really evil team to win, or the team that used-to-be-really-evil but isn't now (but still probably is).
Either way, Barca win, please.
and Buffon deserves a Champions League simply for his loyalty in playing in Serie B when he has probably been the best goalkeeper in the world over the last 15 years or so and would have easily found a place in any of the other European superclubs.
Also I hope Barca lose like I hope they lose most games, hateful club made up of divers, tax dodgers, cheats, biters and racists. Also like has been insinuated by others I find it super dodgy how they never seem to suffer from injuries to anywhere the extent of any other club in Europe.
(out of shot)
With the rolling five-years thing, a 7 point lead over Italy (+3 point lead over Germany) from 2010-11 will be gone, and with the contempt English clubs treat the Europa League with, I can see Italy and Germany overtaking the premier league next season. Could be really tight going into next season depending on what Napoli and Juve do
Would be great / hilarious
Top 4 basically solidified again, heaps of TV/oilball cash to spend etc. Will just sit below the big 3 (Barca, Bayern, Real) rather than there or above as they did at the height of the Prem's powers.
Cue Juve beating Barca in a few weeks' time.
what a guy
