in certain cases it's a legitimate question, depends how much responsibilities and roots you've put down here.
the thing is, everyone seems pretty unhappy with where they live these days (not without good reason either). here in Ireland, women literally being killed because they aren't given a choice or control over their own bodies. America, police brutality, innocent black people being murdered, a joke of a healthcare system. the whole western hemisphere seems pretty fucked, and it's almost a bit self-absorbed to claim that your country has a special claim on being fucked.
to come back to the OP, it is sort of a lot harder for people who have laid down roots in a country or don't have a lot of prospects, and as such people who have more choice about whether they can leave the country or not should maybe occasionally ask themselves if that's a better solution than turning the national woes into your own personal tragedy
which is equally annoying
