No e******n speak.
Nice day. Getting back into cycling to work. Tough though.
Mine isn't quite long enough, but I can't do the full slog into Cambridge (22 miles each way) and get back in time to do the nursery run.
I SUSPECT THIS IS THE TORIES FAULT
7 *very hilly* miles.
It's a funny distance though. If I was out on a long cycle I always find the first 10 miles the worst.
only at work until 1.30 or so. might go for a bike ride when i get home.
boyfriend's out again tonight, though says he'll be back "early". last time he said he'd be back "early", on tuesday evening, he missed the stop on the train and ended up in norwood, vomitted over the station platform and arrived home at 12.30am. i should probably make plans for tonight, therefore.
lost £50-odd because of a 94th minute Swindon goal
Gym later then night in by myself, which I weirdly quite like on a Friday once in a while
That'd be in insane plan though, my house is 8km from work through a city centre and up a mahoosive hill. Not possible.
Went out for a few drinks for a friend's birthday last night. Son't know how I got up today but I did and I'm here.
Also, is looking for a new flatmate more stressful than I remember? We've got five people asking about the room now and more are asking as the hours tick by. (We only told people about this yesterday!)
it's like 5 miles! fucking get a bike and cycle!
I'd give anything for a 5 mile ride to work, would be glorious)
It's ridiculously steep, is the main road to the airport here (I work next to the airport), is continually busy and has no cycle.
Combine that with the fact that it pisses down here the whole time (like today) and I don't see it happening any time soon.
P.S. I appreciated the vitriol in the first reply!
might be a sneaky way around the hill.
also, i guarantee that after a few weeks of cycling up hills, it will become MUCH easier.
There's only two (!) routes to the airport. I've walked the second one and while it is shorter, it is steeper again.
I haven't been on a bike in years as well so I'm just belly-aching here. I think it's travelling on public transport that's making me wistful for a bike.
Forty minute cycle according to Google Maps.
get on yr bike!
That there is a big hill, I can back you on that.
Ball was pumped up too hard though. Hurt my foot unless I toe punted.
Seems I'm not as tough as I thought.
Not listening to my housemate in future.
Forgot to say the other day. you have a cute chin. bristly, but v cute.
I have a roll and sausage (square/ lorne) and tattie scone and a can of orangina. I wish I'd got two of each as I'm RAVENOUS today.
I'm still a bit ill though and toying with going home early today
Just found a load of coins in my pocket! I am jealous of your Orangina though PO.
fanta (which I can get my hands on) just won't cut it.
it gobbled up my quid, spat thirty back at me, and then DID FUCK ALL. had to get the scary cashier woman to open it up using a tiny wee key and retrieve a sprite for me.
where has this thirst come from? (clue: new world wine tasting last night).
Sprite = not as good as orangina
They used to have San Pel. Aranciata here but they stopped stocking it. Down to Coke, Fanta or 7uP now. What a dose.
I survived a day as a poll clerk. 7am-10pm plus time setting up and packing down. The highlight was a mother and son thinking that a polling station was an appropriate place for a water pistol fight.
I'm back on it in an hour's time - those local election votes aren't going to count themselves. #prayforccb
Plus dropping kids off on the way
Never going to cycle that I'm afraid
Taking the kids out on bikes later. Not been brave enough to take them along the canal yet as reckon they'll be in there within ten minutes
delete mine pls
I cycled to work today. 20 mins. No mishaps.
we can't have enough of these today.
Really hating my job today. Oh sweet fire alarm!
but I always have a stiffy according to lonzy :(
