Why on earth did you watch them, man?
coz you lot were all banging on about it forever
Did You Hear About the Morgans?
I was on a plane.
I was right from the off.
I thought everyone did?
but this has done me
I can't remember the last film that I watched a film that I thought would be shit.
I don't have friends/family/partners with tastes that dissimilar to mine so aside from masochism there's no reason to do this.
and it's getting a bit late and you have had a couple of drinks and then you see Scary Movie 9 is on ITV4. You know it is going to be shit but you'll tune in for 20 minutes. Yes, I have been watching you.
Never watch live tv.
It must be my housemate you're watching. Good luck to you though, he's a honey.
Niece and nephew wanted to watch them over Xmas and I didn't want to appear surly.
needed something to do with the fams, thought it might be entertainingly bad.
bad life decision.
Wanted to have seen ever MCU film before I watched Age of Ultron.
Thought it looked rubbish, it was indeed rubbish. The opening sequence was so lame I had to double check that I was watching the right film.
I don't regret watching it, as it would have annoyed me watching the new Avengers film while feeling like I'd missed out on something. I didn't enjoy it at all though.
still enjoyed it more than cpt. usa II
I had watched that the night before, thought it was much better.
For a film that's supposedly satirical it was neither cutting or funny. It was just shit. Sofia Coppola is so overhyped.
imagine watching that
its basically a beat by beat rebelling of a true story. Wasn't meant to be funny. I agree it isn't a great film though
Lost in Translation, thought it would be shit and it was shit
...I watched The Lone Ranger, Man Of Steel and Pacific Rim back to back. In my defence, I had been through a binge of watching new releases at the time so these were the viable options. Felt like me IQ had dropped about 20 points by the time I landed.
to see if it was as bad as I thought
It was the only thing on at 10 in the morning and everyone I knew said it was better than they were expecting and not like other Marvel films.
I disliked it so very much.
Thought it was pretty weak tbh
Stopped going to the cinema with them in the end.
Although it would have made quite a scene if I'd one day just got up in the cinema in the middle of the film and gone "Right, that's it, I can't take any more of this", walked out and never seen them again. I'm not quite that much of cunt, though.
I'm going to clown college!
I knew it would be shit but I think I just wanted to prove myself right.
sort of glad I watched it though, it was funny how shit it was, especially Russell Crowe
does that mean it didn't really happen? who the fuck is really in charge then?
I watched not one but two fucking Hobbit films because the selection of films was the same as the way out and I'd seen anything I had any interest in seeing. I figured that at least they were long and I wouldn't have to pay attention and I'd be home before I knew it. Which obviously wasn't what happened. My word they were abysmal.
turned the second Hobbit film off halfway through - painful stuff
I'm no LotR fan but at least I appreciate the craft that went in to making them. But this shit. Painful is exactly the word.
the only thing to take away from them is that peter jackson actually hates tolkien and was so upset at being forcibly drafted back in for them that he decided to ruin the hobbits' reputation forever
My god, it felt like the longest three hour film I've ever watched. Decided to bin the trilogy off at that point.
However, when staying at my girlfriend's sister's place at Christmas she asked if we minded watching the second part on DVD one evening as she was off to see the third at the cinema and wanted to refresh her memory. As such, I've seen the first two now. Feels slightly silly not to watch the third, but just can't get the motivation.
The second one was bad. At a loose end one evening, I thought I'd watch the last one through some poorly conceived desire to "see it through". Jesus H Christ. Never knew action could be so dull.
because some of it was filmed at Frensham Ponds (!)
I fucking hate that guy's films, they're just nails down a blackboard for me. And yet I seem fated to end up watching every single one. Often under the most unlikely circumstances, e.g. going over to a mate's place for pizza and a DVD, we're going to watch The Shining, but oh no, there's something wrong with the DVD player and he can't eject the previous disc. It's 28 Days Later, so we watch that.
And I saw Slumdog Millionaire because g/f and I went to the cinema to see something else, but we got the time wrong, and the only thing screening that didn't require our waiting for an hour was that shite.
Made me physically ill, couldn't stand it. Only watched it because people with good taste in films were raving about it, have to say the was some comfort in proving myself right though.
Actually it was slighlty worse than i expected.
Getting angry thinking about it
Knocked Up (think I turned it off though)
but the end results were so goddamn boring. Which is a shame as I like all the castmembers.
although the things I thought would be shit, I liked, and the things I thought I would like were shit
(but Tangled is still pretty fookin sick m8)
Colleague at work who's a big Nth Korea obsessive gave me a copy, I was sceptical but he assured me that while it was a bit lame, it still had a really interesting take on the whole Western-media-vs-Nth-Korea thing.
It was just shit.
hated the one before but then everyone was like it's fucking brilliant watch it and even though I was like no I'll not like it, people were like watch it, it's much better than the one before it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it and so eventually I caved in to peer pressure despite knowing I'd probably find it to be shit and then I wasn't surprised it was shit, it's full of plot holes, it's really dull, there's no violence even though violent things are happening and it's far, far too long. That's the last time I listen to anybody's opinion on anything.
Cant remember what it is called. Steampunk thing with giant metal samurais. Or anything by that hack
