Everything else, no.
On the very VERY rare occasions I'll have to text a superior (and strictly a superior) for work - I'll probably do it. Other than that - absolutely never.
Just seems rude not to - like hanging up without saying 'bye'.
and a "Cheers" or "Kind Regards" or whatever you would normally put to them isn't appropriate, but just plain cold silence is too far.
Her name is Emma. Everyone calls her 'Em'. She signs them off with just 'M'.

Think this stuck in my mind because when guntrip friended her on FB his first comment was something like, "Was I calling you by the wrong name all ATP weekend? FML".

9/10 times when I type my name it comes out as Lousie.
even have it as a nickname in some circles
but everything else I need to sign off (mainly paperwork to confirm work has passed) gets all three of my initials.
Mainly because I think three looks better than two.

so I just take the time to write the whole thing for that 'personal touch'.
