Was it amazing? Or was it shit/disappointing?
Come on, we're on the same side here.
But not about avo and eggs.
it's a fucking brilliant film, and i know everyone bangs on about it but the scenes between de niro and pacino are immense.
Specifically De Niro's.
The way the other actor responds is just like, "What, wait? You just played it HOW?!"
of Heat is a good one but I have only seen it once and that was about 15 years ago. At it's time of release De Niro and Pacino were proper heavyweights of cinema and too much was made of them being in the same movie for the first time ever. This said it has some great heist scenes from my muggy memory. Dunno why but heist scenes in movies are great (Point Break, Perfect Friday, Thunderbolt & Lightfoot...). Actually, subthread, MORE heist movies...
prob in my top 5 films
1. Donnie Darko
3. Phantom Menace
4. Disney's Cars
that a group of friends and got chased up a street and thought that we were about to get an absolute kicking.
I.e. very. There's about an hour in the middle where nothing happens though.
I'm not sure I've managed to see it all the way through in one go. It's one of those films they always show at about 11am on ITV2 and I try to watch but never make it.
See also: Ronin
if they're regularly putting Heat out at 11am.
has a v good car chase
heat has a great shoutout that sounds amazing on surround sound
if we're talking, ACTION, gunsexcitement etc, it's easily in the top three of that genre of all time.
1. Terminator 2
explosions, with complex characters that i give a shit about. that's what I'm talking about.
(not sure if anything actually explodes in heat)
i can't believe i'm writing on here when i could be watching Heat.
gonna go and watch Heat
You can't sully a list with T2 and Aliens in by adding 'Heat'.
True Lies could even scrape in
The Last Action Hero?
A cool Stallone?
I dunno, you can't put a deadly serious film like Heat alongside fun movies like those. The average person wanting "ACTION, gunsexcitement etc" would never come home tipsy from the pub and put Heat on.
would probably be something like The Usual Suspects.
You know, serious cops and robbers type films.
is actually much better than Heat
the bit where Nick Fury is ranting about Cap wanting his head to be stuck up Peggy Carter's great ass?
easily one of the best from that stable, so unexpectedly good
I just want to watch it again. Unfortunately I don't want to spend any money or time. :D
I like how they consummate their relationship at the end.
I turned it off before the end - I couldn't believe Sandra Bullock as an 'uptight cop' in a buddy comedy, didn't work for me.
