No need. What are the chances of your car rolling away? Nah, neutral for me
mainly to impress my passengers.
jesus Balonz, you can barely tell us apart today!
when you are brought up on the mean streets of Glasgow and Surrey.
and you were on any kind of incline your car could swing out. If I'm driving a manual I just leave it in gear as a matter of course.
Then again I've still never driven on the mainland.
Gonna pop my cherry later this month though.
and as we didn't have a car when i was a kid we borrowed his a lot. My mum would forget every single time too, drove her mental.
He also had a rule that the tank never went below half full, something to do with sediment getting into the engine. he was a mechanic for years so i guess he probably knew what he was talking about.
parked on a steep hill:
- leave it in first gear
- steering on full lock facing into the kerb
- tuck rapidly increasing erection to left side of pants
- lock car with clicker over shoulder whilst walking away without looking
Apart from the pants bit. I go to the right side.
makes me feel trés sexy
increases the range.
Try it. If you try it normally and it doesn't work, put the key against your head and retry. You'll get an extra 50% of distance at least
Might start doing this.
Button press handbrakes are the absolute fucking business, driving a car with one makes you feel as though the 21st century has finally arrived. Going back to using a manual pull-up handbrake just feels like eating mud in a draughty cave whilst warding off wolves with fiery sticks.
I do like the auto brake that makes hill starts a cinch these days. I failed my first test on the hill start
I didnt realise that you could just use the clutch and accelerator to take the handbrake off automatically.
I hated the button handbrake....
why wouldn't you?
I posted a cracking anecdote about keyless entry cars here but it's gone
Speak to your doctor, he'll soon get you "up and running" ;)
Had just passed my test and was put on the insurance of my Mum's Nissan Almera. It was automatic and absolute dogshit. Just assumed it was being a lot slower than usual.
Only worked it out once I'd gotten out of the car and there was a smell of burning.
